Dreamy chia pudding after an early Pilates class this morning 💪🏼 I’ve had lots of you asking about my Pilates practice, so I thought I’d answer some of the questions here in case anyone is wondering the answers too! I’ve been doing reformer Pilates for just on 2 years, 3-5 times per week, and I did a year of mat Pilates before that. I got into Pilates because I injured my lower back pretty badly doing bikram yoga because I’m hyper mobile. Being hyper mobile means I have to work a lot harder to stretch or move carefully and in correct form/posture, as my body can go further/stretch more than it should. Pilates has helped me strengthen my back and every other part of my body in the process. It’s truly the only exercise I’ve ever loved (I previously wondered how people could ‘love’ exercise at all, but you just gotta find your jam!) and I couldn’t imagine not doing it!
