Welcome “Thai Whoopie Pie” to the 13 Dozen Strongman Competition! 🏆 . Mr. Pie is from Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭 He is most familiar with the street life, the floating markets, and his family owned tailored suit business, “Fluff Stitch”👔 During the day he would work, stitching everyone’s custom fitted suits, and he was good, actually he was the best! All the rich honeybuns and twinkies knew that he was the guy to go to for an amazing suit and even though Pie was great at his job, he was not satisfied. 😞 He wanted more then a normal tailors life, he wanted to have more, he wanted to see more, he wanted to be more. 💠 One day The French Jammer (see previous post) was in Bangkok for a strongman competition and needed a new suit. He saw the quality of Pies work when walking down the street and bought a few suits. During their conversation Pie was talking to Jammer about what he was doing in Bangkok and after Jammer explained to him everything having to do with his competition and strongman in general, Pie was super intrigued! 🙇‍♂️ 💠 Since that very day he studied, he researched into form, training, nutrition, everything having to do with strongman. He couldn’t afford a gym membership, even though there wasn’t any official gyms in his area, he was determined to find a way. He went to his local library, in which they did not have much, but they did have one outdated computer 🖥 He researched home substitute for strongman equipment and came across @tom_haviland instagram page and saw that he was using yard equipment for his training that @jailhousestrong was having him do. Once he saw that, a light bulb popped in his head 👤💡 and He went straight back to his grandfathers farm and practiced what he read. 💠 Fast forward a few years, Pie is one of the top 13 strongman competitors in the world 🌎 He is sponsored by Lil Debbie’s Gym Apparel, Tasty Cakes lifting equipment, and Hostess Nutrition. He is flown all over the world to compete in strongman competition and to put on strongman seminars 🏋️‍♂️ He also owns a gym that he built right next to his family’s tailor business, which is now a million dollar franchise due to Pie not forgetting where he came from.
5MINUTE PROTEIN RICH BREAKFAST BOWL MY WAY! . . I'm in breakfast heaven 🌸🤸 . . So what I did here is literally mix up my usual pancake mix except I added a small banana in it this time, then once all mixed up I added the mix to a bowl and microwaved it for about 2.5 - 3 minutes and thats it folks! . . INGREDIENTS: . 30 grams oats / 1 x small banana / Cinnamon to taste / Tiny bit of salt / 3 egg whites / 1 scoop vanilla whey / Splash of almond milk / . . TOPPINGS: . almond butter/ banana / lemon juice / cinnamon OR whatever you want 🤷🏼 . . You're welcome friends 😜❤
In our previous post, we talked about Lady Peach Pie. She is in the #peachgang from @girlswhopowerlift , well, what we did not tell you about was one of her many rival gangs is the #AppleBottomGang and Apple Bottom Crisp is their leader. 🍎 💠 Her Story: Apple Crisp has a story very much opposite of Lady Peach, Apple Crisp is from the Stribling Orchard farm in Markham, #Virginia . She was looked at as the rotten apple, the one no one wanted to pick, farmer after farmer, they would pass her by. She was at first sad, depressed, insecure, but then all her emotions turned to anger. 💠 She become inFRUITerated!!! 😡 If no one wanted to help her start her life, if no one believed she would make as a good apple pie, then she was determined to make it on her own. She plucked herself out of the giant Malus Pumila (apple tree) and dived straight to the ground. The many years of growing a tough skin must have helped, because when she fell and hit her body on the ground, she only walked away with a few bruises. 💠 She walked the farm, and saw all the other apples that were being looked at as if they were also rotten apples. She cried out to them, 🗣 she expressed to them that they are not what the farmers says they are, they are more than just rotten fruit, they are not any less than any other apple or any other fruit for that matter. That they too can pluck them selves from the tree that holds them back and live a life they have always dreamed of! The other apples resonated with her, They grew in courage and inspiration and as they grew in character, Apple Crisp followers grew in size. 💠 Apple Crisp was smart though, she knew that there would be others who would try to take on her team, so she decided that they would become strong, not just strong for a girl, but just strong. So her and her team went to the local gym, “Iron Produce”, and started lifting to show that these are some girls that shouldn’t be messed with. 💋💪👊🏼 . . . Anyone have a similar story as Apple Crisp? The Nutty Couple 🥜 PART 2: Meet Mr. Nutty-Brownie (He hyphenated his last name lol) . Mr. Nutty is your average guy, walking around with his square shaped chest high, chocolate shoulders back, thinking his brownie bites didn’t stink. He would go to the gym with no structure with no plan, he would pick up the heaviest weights lift them with the most horrible form just to impress the people around him. 🏋🏾‍♂️ He was overweight, unhealthy, but he could lift a lot of weight and impress a lot of people, which was his only concern. He said he could eat all the food he eats because he lifts, that it did not affect his self-esteem, however that also was a lie. 🎭 Because like Mrs. Nutty he also had his own set of insecurities and failures, Which he thought he was going to have to face alone, until he met Mrs.Nutty. . Together, as one, they face and continue to face their insecurities through teamwork and compassion. That was his thing he loved to run, for hours and hours on end, he would run. He loved the feeling of sweating buckets of butter as he made his way around each turn. He also thought that the other French sweet roll women 🥖would love a thin slice like him, but when ever he looked around he saw that they were all over the big loaves 🍞 . . He tried everything, he tried doing push-ups after each lap of his running, he tried doing pull ups on the tree branches, bodyweight squats, he thought he tried it all! He was frustrated, he was annoyed, he was depressed, until he saw something on TV. He saw @shawstrength and @eddiehallwsm lifting some MASSIVE weights🏋️‍♂️ He never heard of Strongman training. So he went to his local gym “French Stuffed Tough Fitness”. There they taught the proper technique for every lift. . . However, he was especially fond of the Berrybell Press. Where you would, with one arm, lift a giant handled weight with 2 giant strawberries 🍓 attaches to them. You would press those dumbbells clear above your head, locking out the elbow each time for max reps. He was the best! Breaking every record, growing in size and endurance with each year. He is now training to take the world champion title 🏆🥇 for the 4th time in a row this year. The competition, “The Bakers Dozen”, is taking the 13 strongest and putting them side by side for what is going to be the biggest, baddest, strongest competition ever seen! 💪 . . . He got picked on by all the bigger marshmallows, for years they would beat him down. All her brothers and sisters looked at her with envy, because she was the plumpest peach of them all 🍑. They knew that she was right for the picking. However, lady was not the most confident peach, even though she was indeed the juiciest, most plumpest peach. As time went on and life brought many seasons, her brother and sisters dropped and dropped to started their life journey. 👩‍💼However, lady was scared, she was not sure she would be able to handle what life thrown at her, Would she fail or would she succeed at her life dreams. Then, like all things in life, the time came, and she fell wondering and pondering how life would go. It was a struggle at first lady had no direction, no short term or long term goal, just cruising through life. Then, her life changed when she met members of the #peachgang from @girlswhopowerlift. Yo What’s Up Fly Fry Guy! 🍟🕶 . His story: He was your ordinary college student, went to school, was in a fraternity, skip class when he felt like it, and played sports. He was the king of the garden, no other potato was like him. He was cool with the guys and gals, picked on the little guys, and was the life of the party. He graduated 👨‍🎓 his college, Russet University, with a Masters Degree in Fry Therapy and Condiment Training. He followed a strict vegan-based diet (no potatoes, because.... cannibalism🙅‍♂️), and a perfect structured training schedule, he was the man to talk to when your in the gym if you wanted to learn something. 💪 If you ever walked into the gym, you would instantly know he was there, not because of a bundle of people surrounding him, no, no, no, but because you could hear him from across the gym! He was the grunter🗣, the guy who yelled and screamed whenever he picked up a condiment. He’s normally by the ketchup cables doing sets of 20 and flexing in the mirror between sets, but it doesn’t matter if he was picking up the small 5lb mustard seeds or the 100lb tomatoes, you could always bet on him yelling as if his stems were being chopped off. . . . . Credit to @deezify As he is a HUOGE inspiration for this piece! Been watching him for a while and seeing him put out serious artwork motivated me to put in the work! . . . IT'S ABOUT DOING IT FOR YOUR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH!. . . I went through a stage where I ate healthily and trained hard ONLY because I wanted to lose weight and look great! I weighed myself weekly to see where I was at & it got to my head and it started to consume me more than it should have. One bad meal or missing one training session I'd feel so guilty and it would change my mood and my authentic self. I use to then binge on bad food as it made me feel good in that moment and then it would in turn make me feel worse as I'd be upset with myself for doing it. It was a horrible unhealthy cycle... I had to change this... . Its been a process but I am so much better now. I never weigh myself I rather go by how I feel. I exercise and eat healthy to take care of my body & mind because I want to be the best version of myself. I dont strive to be in my best shape all year round. It's okay to pick up weight here and there. It's okay to have bad days, weeks. I just try my best to be consistent and not restrict my self in anyway. I am so much happier mentally and I believe that if you are mentally in a good place everything will follow suit.. . Don't let #WEIGHTLOSS be the main goal to why you exercise and eat healthily. Feed Your Soul Friday “What Cancer Has Taught Me” During chemotherapy I had such a deep desire to find tranquility, calm, restfulness, and quiet. In order to find this peace I needed to feed my soul. Thankfully @clevelandclinic oncology patients receive - Complimentary massage and reflexology. I took advantage of that weekly. - Sam @meraki_reiki_ introduced me to Reiki and we started to do weekly sessions - I did Yoga and Meditation with Darlene @harmony_house_yoga - I used essential oils in my diffuser everyday - I read devotionals from @joycemeyer every morning thanks @just_being_nikia - I even enrolled in a Happiness Course offered by UC Berkeley #greatergoodsciencecenter - And my amazing friends @jenfonseca7 and @ingridjromero became my pray buddies! Each one helped save my life. Each one taught me how to #findpeace and #feedmysoul . I was so sick that I was slowly dying, but continuously doing these practices made me feel more and more alive. I havent had the best of diets today!! Ive been busy and didn't pack my school lunch 🤔. I think I need to join #thefoodpreplife or im going to be broke or have malnutrition 😵. This week has been a SUPER LAZY week. When I got back from a week away in Durbs with family, I just fell into a bit of a slump. I was so demotivated to train and my eating wasn't great either. Initially I was super bleak with myself and became moody and frustrated but I had to take a moment and realise that its really not the end of the world. I made a decision to just let this week be what it is and instead just keep my mind positive rather than be so hard on myself. I am super hard on myself and it's to my detriment... COFFEE is life and I find myself having atleast 3 to 4 cups a day & when winter comes gosh the number only goes up... ☕ I try to limit the number to a max of 3 cups a day. Ive learned to love a good cup of black coffee but I also love a milky cup *especially* when I'm maybe having a sweet craving, it seems to fill the gap for me...try it!! Throughout the week I'll chop & change between #blackcoffee , milky coffee & almond milk coffee. Oh & I DON'T have sugar or sweetener of any kind in my coffee. Which is also something I have learned to not have... ☕ It's all a process and it's all about having a good balance in your diet. I didn't wake up one day and love black coffee with no sugar. It was a process... ☕ Have sugar & milk in your coffee but then dont have 5+ cups of coffee with milk and sugar in all of them. Somedays I really don't feel like exercising for no good reason & let's be real here guys its most probably just because I'm feeling super lazy & id rather have a big slice (or 2) of carrot cake with a big mug of milky coffee.What I know is that these days happen to each one of us and I need to own those days and let them be...because I'm only human (my best saying) and cake is important too (my weakness). 🍇🍓Gefrorene Frühstücksriegel🍓🍇 Auch als leckerer Snack zwischendurch 😃 🍒🍒ZUTATEN 450ml Müsli 60ml Kokosöl 500g Naturjoghurt (oder nach Wahl) 1 Portion #Powerfood Vanilla 🍒🍒FRUCHT TOPPINGS 🍒🍒1 Tasse bunte Früchte. Beispielsweise Kiwischeiben, Beeren, Trauben, geschnittene Mango oder Granatapfelkerne. Essbare Blumen sind auch lustig, als Topping. 🍇Backform mit Backpapier vorbereiten. Für die Hülle: 🍇Müsli in einer Küchenmaschine oder einem Mixer durchmengen bis es weicher wird. 🍇Müsli und Kokosöl mischen. Alles in einer Pfanne platzieren und an den Boden drücken, damit eine Kruste entsteht. Im Gefrierschrank für 5 Minuten ruhen lassen. 🍇Füllung zubereiten: Den Joghurt mit einer Portion #Powerfood Vanilla in einer separaten Schüssel mischen. Eine leckere Idee zum Kaffee am Wochenende 🙃😃 Bei uns halten die auf jeden Fall nicht bis zum Wochenende 😅 Chia-Erdnussbutter-Cookies😋😋😋 Für 20 Cookies🍪🍪🍪 ➡️100 g Instant Oats (Haferflocken) ➡️50 g Schokopowerfood ➡️15 g Chia Samen ➡️12 g Agavendicksaft ➡️150 g Erdnussbutter ➡️2 Eier ➡️20 g Cacao Nibs ➡️1 Tl. Backpulver Zubereitung: ⭕Den Backofen auf 175°C vorheizen und ein Backblech mit Backpapier auslegen. ⭕Die "trockenen" Zutaten zusammen in eine Schüssel geben - also die Instant Oats, das Backpulver, das Complete Schoko , Agavendicksaft sowie die Chia Samen. ⭕Anschließend die beiden Eier unterheben. ⭕Nun die Erdnussbutter sowie die Cacao Nibs hinzugeben. ⭕Die Hände nun leicht anfeuchten und Cookies aus der Masse formen. ⭕Die Cookies dann für 10-12 Minuten im Ofen backen, bis sie goldbraun sind.
