Going to the UK and hearing various different stories from people born in Wales, England, Scotland, and North Ireland I was shocked to hear how many people didnt feel that they belonged growing up in school. During our preteen and teenage years we all feel a sense of loneliness because we are trying to find our own individual pace in a community. These stories made me greatful to have grown up in a community of people where even though I felt like the odd ball out at times, as a young adult I can connect and reach out to old classmates. My friend Katherine and I have known each other since we were 7 years old and hadnt spoken in years. Thanks to the lovely @amberkhan
Satsang we were able to reconnect. In these pictures we met up at the Havana Sandwich Shop to catch up before I went back to school in England. She got a Medianoche, I got a Pollo Frito and we sat, ate, and talked about astrology, our high school class, boys, our futures and the Satsang. I am so greatful for the community I grew up in , I'm greatful for the revolution, I'm greatful for those delicious ass sandwiches we ate at the Cuban Sandwich, and I'm so greatful for my friend Katherine.
