Hey guys! I know it’s been a while! I took a little break to enjoy my mumma’s food for a few days! Today however I went over to my khallah’s (Aunty) and we decided to make macaroni but with a twist! I very rarely use packet spices but this one is a must!
It’s super yummy, easy and spicy! 😋
300g macaroni pasta.
1 tbsp oil for pasta.
1 diced chicken breast.
1 sachet Blake Parlour Achari Mac spice.
1 medium onion.
1 clove garlic crushed.
1 small piece ginger crushed.
1 tin sweet corn.
1 green and red pepper (Optional) - I didn’t have any but I usually add!
1/2 tsp salt.
1/2 tsp black pepper.
3 tbsp cooking oil.
2 tbsp Heinz ketchup.
1 tbsp garlic mayo.
•Boil the pasta and set to side- when setting to side in a bowl add the 1 tbsp of oil so that the pasta doesn’t stick together.
•In separate cooking pot cook the chicken with the oil and the salt and black pepper- this should cook in around 10-12 mins.
•Remove the chicken into a plate and you should still have some oil left in the same cooking pot.
•Finely chop the onion and grind the garlic ginger and cook for about 3-4 mins and then add the sweetcorn.
•Now add the chicken back in and mix in the spice sachet and cook for further 2 mins and then add the mayo and ketchup.
•Add the pasta and mix well and cook for further 2 mins before serving.
•Garnish with cheese if you wish- is amazing as a pasta bake too!
