toastin' it up today as i'm getting ready to go home tomorrow! 🥰 this is probably the longest duration that i haven't been home (6 months, not including the ~7.2 hours i was home in September).
so needless to say, I'M PUMPED to spend some quality time with my family and friends.
but does anyone else feel like sometimes when you're home, you turn back into your teenage self where everything is irritating and nobody understands you and you have to rely on other people by sharing cars and coordinating schedules and you’re so stretched thin trying to see everyone that you need a vacation from your vacation home??
well that happens to me usually when i'm home, but that sure as heck isn't happening to me this time because CHANGE IS IN ORDER. this time i'm going to make an honest attempt to be present for those that i'm with at the time + not worry about who i can't see, try TRY try to be patient with everyone, and just roll with the tide, because i don't get to see my family and squeeze them as often as I should!
Finally incorporating CBD into my daily routine ✨✨✨ I’ve been dealing with chronic pain & body aches recently so I am excited to try this! My holistic health journey has really changed the way I look at medicine in the US - don’t believe everything that doctors tell you. Knowledge is power. When it comes to your own personal health it is SO important to do your own research. I’ve been able to heal my body more in the past 5 months with plants & natural remedies than I have since my autoimmune disease diagnosis in 2015. Driving down the street, any street, I see signs for fast food joints that say “family meal deal for $20” or something along those lines. It amazes me that people think one meal for $20 that is a feeding frenzy for pathogens that KEEP US SICK- is a ‘great deal’. Do you know how much organic fruits and vegetables you can get for $20?! It will last you for DAYS for your family and is the miraculously healing and supportive!!! You don’t need all the “trendy” plant foods and powders. Although they are also incredible to add into your regimen but just getting back to the basics with good old fruits and vegetables is the cheapest and best thing you could ever do for yourself and your family. HOMEMADE VEGGIE STOCK!!!
The other day I made homemade vegetable stock for the first time… and a lot of it😂
After making my own stock its crazy how expensive it is at the store. Stock is made with just veggie scraps and water, thats it. If you compost it is incredibly easy to just start a stock bag in you freezer. Even if you don’t compost it is super easy. All you have to do is put your vegetables in a freezer bag or container and leave it in the freezer until you have enough. Vegetable wise carrots, celery, garlic, and onions are the basics used in stock. You can use the whole part of these veggies like the skin of the carrots if you peel them, the celery leaves from the top, and even the onion skin (they are full of flavor). You could also add mushrooms and any herbs you like.
2-3 whole onions
1 head of celery with the leaves
1-2 cloves of garlic
Herbs of your choice (parsley, oregano, thyme)
Optional: 6-10 mushrooms
3 quarts of water
Throw everything in a large pot (you may need to chop them up a little bit). If the vegetables aren’t covered you can add some more water. Bring it to a boil for a few minutes. Reduce to a simmer for 2-3 hours. Take off the heat and once it isn’t hot strain it. For a clearer broth you can strain it through a cheese cloth, just make sure no strings fall into the broth.

Yep! Processed meat (such as bacon, sausages, hot dogs, dried meat, and canned meat) is preserved by smoking, curing, salting, or adding preservatives. These processes modify the meat, changing its makeup to allow for a longer shelf life. It also causes free radicals to be produced, which are toxins that cause chronic inflammation in the body. Yikes! Yet another reason to eat more veggies.
How many of you find hard to be motivated every day? 🧐🤨
I’m not someone who looses out on it so easily, but also sometimes I feel I’m pressurising myself to be really really strict with my workouts, diet, to drink 4 litres of water and get about 10,000 steps a day, eat good amount of greens and sleep for 7 hours a day in between work life .. although it’s good, it’s necessary to bring in a good balance .. This balance is what I’m learning to strike.. to have my favourite Gulaab jamoon/ biriyani but also make sure it’s in my macros for the day.
I have changed my complete routine from past 2 weeks, haven’t made much space for any alcohol/junk/too much carbs.. so far liking the journey but I must say it’s really hard to be going with this same flow for a long time .. and to all those who are doing the same kudos to you guys ! 🤩👏🏻🙌🏻✌🏻👍🏻

The decision what we eat is directly related to our performance and well being.
Of course it isn’t harmful, if you eat for example one peace of cake now and then. You shouldn’t make yourself crazy about being to healthy. It is much more important how your overall diet looks like.
After all a diet shouldn’t be a restriction but a live enrichment.
Nevertheless food has a huge healing potential and a few vitamin pills won’t make up for an otherwise unhealthy lifestyle. The cool thing is that with food you have the power to not only relieve a symptom, but to really get to the actual cause of what is limiting your well being.
To sum it up with the words of Ann Wigmore:
„The Food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.“
FOODS THAT BALANCE YOUR SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA💛
Whole grains: oats, spelt, rice, rye, farro and teff are great for fire energy but make sure you soak them first for easy digestion.
Legumes: lentils, chickpeas and beans are a great addition to curries, dhals and soups. I recommend the dried variety over the canned variety and just like grains make sure you soak them first.
Spices: turmeric, ginger, cumin and cinnamon are all heating yet still anti-inflammatory spices which make them perfect for nourishing the third chakra.
Yellow foods: bananas, corn, pineapple, yellow capsicums, chamomile and lemons.
My go-to for balancing the solar plexus chakra is Golden Milk. It is a warm and spicy drink that is great to support digestion and sleep!
I put a mug of coconut milk (or milk of choice)
1 tsp of turmeric
1 tsp of ginger
a pinch of cinnamon
in to a pot and simmer on low covered for 10m, then pour and drink! Perfect anti-inflammatory night cap for cool nights! .
