Throwback to our trip in JB, we can't leave without having Kam Long Fish Head Curry! Just a short 2 mins walk from JB City Square mall, we were greeted with a queue when we arrived at around 1:30pm on a Saturday. As we were a group of 5, we waited for around 30 mins before a table was ready at the air-conditioned level 3 which I find it more comfortable to have our meal at , compared to braving the afternoon heat at level 1. The fish-tail was sold out, so we opted for the large Fish Head curry pot instead. The curry was very balanced, not too sweet or sour and went very well with white rice. I could not really describe the exact taste well, but its kinda savory, yet does not taste as if there is too much coconut milk in it as the curry was rather clear, yet smooth. The pot came with vegetables like cabbage and lady fingers which were deliciously good when soaked in the boiling curry. The "Tau Kee" skin is a must to be added into the curry, as every bite comes with a crunch of bean curd and curry. We even added an additional of Tau Kee as every piece was snatched off fast! The fish head was very fresh, and comes with ample chunks of meat which is tender, with the meat holding on to itself even after being soaked in the put of curry for long. Overall a really must try for anyone who have not yet tried Kam Long Fish Head Curry!👍🏻
