Ayoooo! Greenville! Did you see?! I’m coming your way December 8th and have 3 spots left open for mini sessions. Check the insta story for more deets. 🙌🏼👊🏼
Just two lovely ladies enjoying an evening at Respite Care 2018. Even on our night off from gigging, we still find reasons to hit the dance floor.
Excited to spend Thanksgiving with family and “adopted” family this year! I have been blessed with blood relatives who are fun, kind, thoughtful and loyal. And I’ve been blessed with people who are like family and have welcomed me into their life with open arms. We are excited to spend some time hiking 🥾 and eating and being merry! Can’t wait for too much pie 🥧 and great times in the mountains 🏔 What are your plans for the holiday? Who else agrees that Thanksgiving is the BEST?!
Last week I realized that Thanksgiving has recently become one of my favorite holidays. There are so few expectations - you gather around a table with your family & friends, eat, catch up, and then go back to your lives. It’s amazing how refreshing sharing a meal with people you love can be.

I wish I looked this good getting caught off guard while watching my child play- unfortunately, my face more than likely would look like something a hilariously stupid meme could be made from. Can’t win em’ all. 🤷🏻♀️
Hey Nicholas Sparks... Do you need a new book cover?! 😏
It almost seems inappropriate to post a picture of these Michigan fans while my Ohio State is playing- but COME ON, holy hell they’re just too freaking beautiful.
I won’t EVER get enough of these pupper snuggles.
...like, has there EVER been a cuter curly headed babe?
Today in Scotland we are staying with a local man who adopted a street dog from Romania named Jakey! We’ve been loving giving him some pets and snuggles as we sit by the fire and watch The Crown.
I can’t help but keep scrolling through the images from this fantastic evening. Want some inspiration for a more edgy feeling day? Or to just check out the work of a fellow lady boss...I know you’re into it! Click @courtneycyr_design
and she’ll knock your socks off!

Happy Friday! It’s winter here in Colorado, and I’m not mad about it. 🌲
Amanda here. Face behind the lens. Heart behind the stories. Winter is not necessarily my favorite time of year, but I have grown to appreciate it! I grew up in the desert 🌵 of New Mexico, and thrive on sunshine ☀️ It DOES snow in Albuquerque in the winter, but it is never frigid cold. Moving to Kansas for college was let’s just say a “bit of an adjustment”. It was freezing! I remember having to wear leggings under my jeans, two pairs of socks, and all the winter coats just to walk to class. I remember calling my mom from my dorm room in MAY crying because it was STILL snowing and icing. But I’ve learned to appreciate the changing of season. The death of something to create room for new growth. 🌲
Now that we’ve moved to Colorado, there is a lot of change and adjustment. Sometimes that brings uncertainty and difficulty, but it also bring new hope and excitement. 🌲
I love it here! And I love getting to serve people here through photography. It is so fun to connect with people and bless them with something they will cherish for years to come. 🌲
What is your favorite season? Have you gotten to play in the snow yet? Give us a tap tap. I’d love to hear from you! #forestpictureco
A huge thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate last nights sold out Flourish Workshop! This community that we’ve built is always a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. 📷: @tiffanyrebecca
If you haven’t watched Will Ferrell’s animal expert video on YouTube, do yourself a favor and do so. You’re welcome.
In case you thought I was exaggerating my obsession for the Christopher Robin movie, we’re about to watch it for the fifth time. Yeah, five. Judge me. Ain’t no shame in my game. #baller
I’ll keep this short tonight friends with the quick reminder that YOU matter.
You are so worthy and have a purpose right where you are. And the God above that created this gorgeous planet loves you more than you’ll ever know.
Be encouraged friend, as these days get darker and the light gets shorter, it can make be hard to look ahead and remember all that you’ve overcome to get where you are today. Sometimes I need this reminded and I have an inkling that I’m not the only one so I hope this encourages you today to remember how precious you are ❤️.
With only one and a half months left in 2018 (how is that possible?!), I’m beginning to book 2019 weddings! Any couple that books before the end of the year will receive a free engagement shoot 💕 Tag your newly engaged friends!
Getting ready for our Flourish Workshop tomorrow & feeling all kinds of excited! I am so grateful for this community of creatives that I’ve been immersed into. 📷: @clancey
We had a great time providing some music for the second annual FCWA Bridal Crawl!
14Nov2018: It's Wedding Wednesday! Last weekend's Fort Collins Bridal Crawl was a huge success. 4 hours, 3 venues, and over 2 dozen brides made for 1 great afternoon. #fortcollinsweddingassoc
Sneak peek from Kaleb & Shea’s session last weekend! That golden hour light is pure MAGIC ✨
I’m suffering from a thumb injury of unknown origin. Yeah, a badass thumb injury. That’s how you know you’re awesome.
Oh, my heart! Mariah & Bryson braved a cold November morning, and I am so glad that they did! Their full gallery is up now at www.baileycrossphotography.com 💕
I just watched Christopher Robin for the third time & can hardly see my keyboard through my tears. I MEAN GUYS have you seen this?! My heart. Holy hell, my heart. Ok, time to recompose myself and start again. Yeah, judge me. I’m a Pooh lover and damn proud of it.
Engagement. This season of life was actually really challenging for me. Zac and I were living in different cities. I was working 60+ hours/week at my teaching job. We were excited for our wedding and to live in the same city, but most of all, we were just ready to be together forever. I had already said yes to marriage and life together, and I just wanted to be MARRIED! 🌲
By the time you say “yes”, you have already made the decision to spend your life with this wonderful person. At least in my mind, it is important to have thought deeply about this before the ring 💍, and to have talked about this big decision TOGETHER. Don’t get me wrong, a surprise proposal and celebration is awesome! But that should not come before you’ve both decided that marriage is what you want! Those communication lines should be opened up before the bling. 🌲
If you’ve made that decision, I’m so happy for you! Marriage is incredible! And communication early and often makes such a huge difference. Though the season of not-quite-being-married can be tough, know that the end and the beginning are coming! Enjoy your singleness, it will make your marriage so much more rich. Though my engagement was tough because of the wait, I’m so thankful I could walk in it confidently. If you are thinking about making the decision to get engaged, I encourage you to talk with each other. Be honest. Don’t get so caught up in the excitement of the prospect of a wedding that you forget what the wedding means. 🌲
As a wedding photographer, why does this matter to me? Well, it’s because I care more about your marriage than the food you choose to serve at your reception (tacos—that’s what we served, and they were 🔥) We were able to enjoy our wedding day (and our tacos 🌮 ) to the fullest, because in the end we knew our marriage was of the utmost importance. The other stuff was just a bonus. 🌲
So, if you want someone to join you on your wedding day that knows the weight of what you’re about to do, consider booking me to document your 2019 wedding and engagement. I will take photos of you and make you look awesome. AND I will be rooting for you to have a beautiful and full and lasting marriage. Who’s in?
When you’re sitting at a shoot site waiting, eating mystery crackers you found on your dash and trying to play catch up with emails but are far too distracted with Backstreet Boys on the radio. But I want it that way....
You’re not worth it. You’re not good enough. You don’t deserve to be treated well.
These are the lies I believed about myself. These are the words I heard people say about me, and I believed them. For longer than I like to admit, I believed them. I heard people at church say that I wasn’t good enough to date their son because of the mistakes I had made, and I believed them.
Those lies sunk their teeth in deep and didn’t let go. So when future boyfriends disrespected me, I didn’t say anything. I didn’t stand up for myself, I didn’t tell them to stop. Because I wasn’t worth it. I didn’t deserve anything better, I deserved this. This was the best I could expect to get.
And it wasn’t until I started dating a man who treated me with kindness and respect that I realized how much those lies had taken over. He pulled me out of a darkness I didn’t even know I was in. I had come so far from the truth that I didn’t even know it was there anymore. And it wasn’t until I was treated like a queen that I believed I should be treated like one.
If you’re caught up in the lies it can be so hard to break out. Trust me, I’ve been there. But I want you to know what I’ve learned. That you’re worth it. That you are more than good enough.
And the lies they say about you will never compare to the truth.
Shot these two eating bbq and then fishing while listening to 90’s music- hell to the yes, people. These are the engagement sessions I live for. Capture YOUR LOVE. 👊🏼
Give me all the pretty invites and greenery!!
Daydreaming of warmer days + this rosé themed birthday party that @clancey
+ I hosted for @tiffanyrebecca
at my family’s home.
This was something new, something unusual, something I have never seen before. Because I’ve seen the way my mom looks at me, and I’ve seen the way that my friends look at me. I know the way that strangers look at me, and I know the way that my dad looks at me. But you, you. My dear, its always been you. The first time I caught you looking with your beautiful, dazed eyes, I became lost; confused out of my mind. Because, I could not identify that look, I could not describe it, nor connect it to the one’s I’ve seen before. No, this was new territory for me. And it scared the hell out of me. You, you scared the hell out of me. And you still do, each day.

Sweet moments 💜 these two are adorable.
Black and white. Film is the medium I fell in love with. I would spend hours in the darkroom fine tuning and exposing. Sometimes I feel like digital black and white is cheating. It really is if I’m being honest. 🌲
I miss those hours spent working on the single image. I won an award once for a print I made. It still hangs on a wall in my house. Though slightly under fixed I will ad (it has hints of discoloration). I remember listening to @theshins
on loop while thinking “I just want to stay in here all day and make art.” My teacher @davidondrik
knew the band members (they are from Albuquerque), and he taught us about thirds and light meters and Annie Liebowitz. I never thought I would do this professionally, but man did I love it then. And man, do I love it now. 🌲
It’s funny how this love of mine has come back into my life. It looks a little different now. Instead of doing my best to make great images and get an A, I’m now doing my best to make great images and serve clients. But it still has the same allure. Of creating something beautiful. Of spending hours on your images to make them juuuust right. 🌲
I still shoot on my pentax k1000 with 35mm film on occasion. I should do it more. I no longer have a dark room. I think that’s what keeps me from it the most. Sending my film to a lab is just not the same. Maybe one day when we own our own house, I’ll put a darkroom in the garage or basement... 🌲
What did you love to do when you were younger? Do you still do it? Maybe I just need some inspiration from you guys to start shooting film more 🙃 #forestpictureco #bwsquare
Come join us at @shoplemonsandlace

I’m going to my husbands 11pm (CHYEAH, P freakin M) hockey game tonight so, uhhh, this better make me wife of the year. I’m also pretty sure the prize for that is a golden-doodle. Fact check that, yo.
Did you catch that? The small touch. Granddaughter sitting with grandma knowing she is loved. Knowing she is cared for. Excited for her aunt to walk down the aisle, but more excited to play with her cousins and run around in her white dress with flowers in her hair. Her aunt excited and nervous and ready to marry the man she prayed for. Her grandma feeling all of the emotions she’s thought about since the day her baby girl was born. 🌲
Did you catch that? Weddings are more than dresses and flowers and songs. Weddings are the beginning. Not the pinnacle. They are your lives becoming one. They are your families uniting and standing by you. They are your promise and your celebration to stand with each other from now on. No matter what. 🌲
Did you catch that? #forestpictureco
did 😉🙃 #authenticmoment
