Weird things happen at the Stanley....
Looking sharp for the Stanley hotel.
I get to sleep in tomorrow past 7am and I am so damn pumped about it! Happy Friday, lovers✨
Everyone should do an anniversary session on trail ridge road! 😉
There you see her
Sitting there across the way...🎶💏♥️
My name is Carrie- I love long walks on the beach, pizza & BADASSES.
19Sep2018: It's Wedding Wednesday! Another photo from Tiffany & Jesse's rooftop wedding a few weeks ago (this one taken with my no-frills Samsung cell phone). One way to determine if a wedding reception is a huge success is if the groom's shirt is soaked with sweat.
Have I told you guys lately how much I love The Manor House? It’s such a gorgeous venue and I can’t wait for my next wedding there!!
I’m going on day ten of a head cold. Day. Freaking. TEN. In the middle of busy season. It’s cool. I’m not crying, you’re crying.
Reminiscing about this session because this time next year these two will be MARRIED. I’m so excited about all of my 2019 weddings. ✨

We like to do a cheer before gigs to get pumped up. Since we played both bluegrass and jazz sets for this wedding reception, our chant this time was "get blazzy". It did the trick.
Growing up I always dreaded turning 30. It seemed so “old” to me, like a deadline. “Do everything you want to in life before you hit 30 and shrivel up” is pretty much how I looked at life. Now here I am 4 months away from my 30th birthday and fighting those feelings like crazy. I’m starting to slowly realize that there’s no deadlines or finish lines in life. I can still chase my dreams if I’m not in my 20’s. There’s no correct timeline to get things done by. I’ve been dreading my 30th birthday these past couple years and I think I’m *almost* to the point where I can accept turning 30. I mean, no matter how old I am I’ll still be awesome AF, right?! **tap to see the amazing vendors who created this gorgeous set up!**
I just had to, HAD TO post about this incredible exit!
Mike is really big into woodworking. He is quite the artist- Logan and I got the privilege of seeing some of his work up close while we did their engagement photos in their home! He handmade Mandi’s ring box for when he proposed, and it is GORGEOUS. He puts so much love and intention into his work and it truly shows.
Mandi was asking around about what materials they could use for their grand exit, as quite literally every other part of their wedding was meaningful to them + their relationship in some way. It was then that Mike had the idea of using wood shavings for their guests to throw in the air!
He quite literally rubbed his hands raw while using a planer in order to create the little curly-q’s of wood you see being thrown here. This is hands down the best +most creative idea that I’ve seen yet for an exit. It shows up well in photos+ is so, so meaningful to them, is biodegradable, and was something that they could make themselves!
Hopefully this also encourages you that DIY can be so, so creative and meaningful- it doesn’t just have to be a craft someone else has already done. What do-it-yourself ideas have inspired you lately?
“I love you as certain dark things are loved, secretly, between the shadow and the soul.”
Man do I love a rose gold ring! 😍😍😍
When you play a bluegrass set, a bolo tie is a must. Who wore it best?
My heart is just so dang happy for these babes. HAPPY WEDDING WEEKEND ✨
Dance floor with shoes, no shoes or someone else’s shoes 💃🏻 #dance
Who is this girl? She wouldn't take her auntie Angela's shoes off. Wedding shenanigans.
If you need me I’ll be over here trying to figure out how to eat all the cake without gaining weight.
