I think I saw the 4H logo for the first time in a long time the other day and decided I'd take a stab at a slight redesign. A refresh, if you will.
The original logo (swipe to see it) is asymmetrical and is not distinct in any way that would set it apart from say, clipart of a 4 leaf clover with H's stamped on each leaf. My idea is to further incorporate the H's into each leaf, make it symmetrical (this is easily done since H's themselves are ambigrams), and even sneak in a heart symbol as a leaf to represent their brand of child development.
I’ve been so busy this weekend now I’ve finally got some downtime today 🌸
Being my own boss means having the freedom to work from anywhere, anytime. One of my favourite, local “offices outside the office” is @west_village_cafe_
. Between the tasty food & beverages and swanky decor, it’s a designer’s dream. Where do you work best?
It’s feeling autumnal here today, so I thought I’d share a cozy moodboard with warm and calm vibes. Now where is my afternoon tea service? ☕️
Some Monday wisdom I wholeheartedly believe in (on all other days of the week too)
I bought some new Promarkers this weekend, super excited to start pushing myself to improve my drawing - it’s been too long! As a bit of #MondayMotivation
, here’s a portrait I created of my girl @abijademusic
for her Wild Thing EP a few years ago 🦁
‘Dachshund in Paris’ prints are now available both framed and unframed! 💕🐶❣️ Order directly by dropping me a message or email me (in bio) 🤩🙌🏼💖 Happy Monday x
A little colour to brighten your Monday! 💛
These warm tones are from one of my most recent branding projects with @sarahmay_designs.
A sweet sweet client with a heart for styling beautiful spaces and events.
It's been awhile since I last posted here, but soon I'll say why!
In the meantime, please enjoy this cute stop motion video and remember all the fun you had this summer! ☀️☀️☀️
My friend @brookemorrillphoto
does awesome stop motion photography and she let me be a part of her most recent project. It was so cool to see her process! Check out her feed for more videos like this one!
Tell me about the best thing you did this summer! 💛
Well, it's official. This will be my first week as a full-time freelancer! Ron Swanson put it best: “I learned a lesson. Never half ass two things. Whole ass one thing."⠀
I’m making this shift for a lot of reasons, but it comes down to quality of service and quality of life. Everything is going to be better for clients and for me. Services, pricing, lifestyle, focus, energy. All better. ⠀
I’m super close to booked up for the year so if you’re hoping to have a project finished before 2019 now is a good time to get the ball rolling. If you have big plans for next year and need a designer to execute and dream big with you - I’m ready for you! Let’s chat about how we can better your business with design.
Some of the best projects to bring to life are those I do for clients who have a specific vision and purpose for their marketing pieces.
It sounds counter-intuitive, BUT I think it’s so important to consider end-use and functionality in the early stages of design.
From materials and deliverability to cost and project timelines, knowing the most details about that end product on day one helps to eliminate suprises and roadblocks throughout the process.

Love this photo by Anita Austvika - didn’t end up using it for a project but I love the colours 💜💚💐
Business cards are in! Why decide on one color when you can have them all??? 💛 I’m absolutely in love with them! Thank you @moo
After popular demand, we spoke to @SaxonCampbell
