This is your Friday reminder to be proud of how much you’ve changed over the year. Be proud of how much you’ve over come. To look in the mirror and be comfortable with yourself rather than pick everything apart. To look in the mirror and love who is looking back. (Besides that cute frenchie face)
You have 24 days until the new year. What do you want for the new year? More in your career? More gym time? Lose weight? On average, Americans gain 5 to 15 pounds between thanksgiving & New Years! You could wait until the new year to start developing healthy habits - or you could start now.
Start small. Work on developing one small habit at a time. Once that habit has become part of your daily routine, move on to the next! Whether that is with your nutrition, weight loss, career, relationships.
Some tips could be:
• Adding in more protein in your diet. This is where a lot of my fitness challengers see a difference and progress in! Chicken, fish, shrimp, eggs, liquid eggs, lean ground turkey/hamburger, protein powder / protein bars.
• Drinking more water. Carry a jug/big shaker cup throughout the day.
•Get some type of exercise /movement in a day. 4/5 times a week even if it’s 30mins.
•Find a buddy. Have a friend join you! Have a family member/ spouse. Lot of gyms are offering free trials or 30day free start for the new year! Do it together & help motivate each other.
•Allow yourself balance. It’s ok if you have an off day or splurge on few extra cookies at your Christmas /holiday parties. Just don’t over do it. Be mindful & get back to it the next day.
•Take time to learn! Read more. Research more.
•Take micro nutrients daily. A good multivitamin, fish oils, greens product. All aid in helping your immune system. Avoid that sickness going around! I’ve only been sick once this year & think it was from food.
•Get enough good quality sleep!
For me, goals are to buckle down on nutrition & self confidence in my career! #fridayreminders #fitfriday
Small steps. Write down goals you have in mind & start working. Think on what are goals you have in mind? Let’s finish the year strong and be proud to come into the new year!
