Sometimes I cook when I need a break from restaurant food...and this is my 2nd time in my entire life frying shrimp, the first time the hot grease taught me a lesson. 😂 But I was brave tonight and yeah it turned out PERFECTLY...3lbs Argentina Wild Caught shrimp (slightly sweet tasting), used @zatarains
Shrimp Fri of course I added seasoning @tonychacheres
and followed the shrimp fri directions. I fried it in canola oil (do not use vegetable oil)...and managed to keep my grease pretty clean. Key is to make sure shrimp and batter are room temp before putting in the grease. Then, don't over load the frying pan...just put 3-5 shrimp in for 20-30 seconds then remove. Keep heat on meduim or 350 degrees. Your shrimp will come out looking golden brown!🤟 This batter was perfect however I added fresh juice of 1 lemon and 1 lime. Enjoy!
