went back to @fruttabowls_chapelhill
to give it another try! 🍓🍌🥝🥜 first, just to clear up a bit of confusion, there is a parking garage behind frutta bowls on rosemary street with tons of spots (and it’s only $1 per hour). second, you CAN customize any of the bowls or create your own. this option isn’t shown online but it’s described on their menu in store. you can choose your base, add protein, granola, fruits, and toppings. i made my own today: acai base (no added sugars, ever!!) with vegan protein, topped with their blueberry granola, mango, strawberry, kiwi, peanut butter, and chia seeds. i really really like being able to customize my own bowl bc it allows me choose whatever i wanted. also, added bonus, even though i customized my own base, it was still really quick which is usually not the case at acai places!! tbh the organization/management at frutta is definitely one of the main standouts... most acai places take 15 minutes or longer to get your bowl but frutta is so quick!! alsoooo the people are so nice. i had so many questions about what’s in the bowls, etc, and Julian was so nice/patient explaining it all. and lastly, i was incorrect in my last post when i said that it was not a family business — frutta is a franchise but is owned and run just like other small family businesses. thanks for a great bowl and for reaching out to me, i can’t wait to come back and try the cinnamon granola next!
