••• 💪🏼 Over the past week, I’ve been watching what I eat - aside from an Authentic German Hot Dog 🌭 in the Late Night Shopping Market yesterday and a White Chocolate Toblerone 🍫 (well, it IS Christmas!!) I’ve consumed only fresh ingredients that promote clean eating... 💪🏼I’ve felt more energetic, less fatigued and healthier already. I’m gearing my body up to go back to the Gym after Christmas, even if it’s hard to avoid those festive, sugary treats at this time of year... 😖 By recording my calorie intake over the past 4 days and looking at Macros individually, fat levels were at 154.4G before Day 1, reducing to 123.2G on Day 1 and to 20.8G by Day 3 - an all time record low. 💯💯💯 Salt levels were at a low of 29% with just 1.74G consumed by Day 3. Day 3 I consumed x19 portions of my 5-A-Day 🍏groceries and drank x8 250ml of my daily recommended Water allowance... 💦 Carbs were at 38% consumption with a -17% decrease and Protein levels were at 18%, with a -2% decrease. Calcium and Dairy levels were normal 🥛🧀... Overall, I’ve got a way to go on my journey, but I anticipate what’s to come... 💪🏼 ••• ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Day 3 of #FitProHellWeek
didn't disappoint, as I don't think I've ever been this tired from a chest and tri workout...but it was mostly hellish due to the mini tantrum/meltdown I had at the beginning of the workout. Any EMOM sucks (what is it with @tiafitpro
and these damn EMOMs every freaking day?!), but today's was especially bad--I could only get through 2 out of 10 minutes of a flat DB bench EMOM before I couldn't feel my hand thanks to the god awful swelling in my forearm from my compartment syndrome.
The frequent and intense time under tension plus relatively zero rest time always spurs the CS on, and there's literally NOTHING that can be done about it. It's physically uncomfortable, and it got to the point where I couldn't hold a weight, make a fist, or flex/extend at the wrist. I definitely spiraled into a bad place pretty quickly--I was fucking ANGRY. With whom and/or at what, I'm not sure. I was able to regroup enough to make additional modifications to the workout to get through it, but shit. I knew this week would be challenging mentally, but I definitely didn't expect it to go down like this. 3 days down, 3 more to go...

Day 16: Ready!
Today was a good day. I did 6 rounds of bag work with push-ups in-between. It was funny bc during shadowboxing I could tell that was the thing my body was missing. I hate that crack sound of my elbows when I haven’t been doing my pushups.
Being able to go for 6 rounds straight without feeling fatigued was an accomplishment. For me it’s not so much the cardio that wears me out these days, but just feeling like my left shoulder is going to fall off bc I’m working it so much.
I felt better about today. Gender dysphoria subsided. Feeling more in my element. My friend Erika reassured me that the gut is the last part of the body to go after working out again. I sure hope so. I was able to do 300 crunches after bagwork today and I’m sure I could have gone for more. Also had an easier time switching hands on the speed bag. All in a day’s work. I keep reminding myself that it isn’t really about my mind anymore, but just my body. And letting that take over. I’ll keep putting in the work. With my community behind me for this fundraiser party I’m doing this weekend, it feels great to know I have so many people in my corner. .
