So I know it looks like I've been eating nothing but cake and sugar for the past week, but don't worry -- I've been scoffing down plenty of wholesome savoury things too... Like this cheesy japchae-filled hotteok. Le drool.
Traditionally hotteok are made of dough filled with cinnamon and honey or sugar, then deep fried and squished into a flat shape, but it seems to be the trend now to fill them with savoury ingredients. Definitely no complaints here!

Cant tell you enough the importance of snacks. This is olive oil fried bread, creme fraiche, red onion, chives and white fish roe but you can use sea weed caviar if you like because why not. SNACKS. Tonight I just have cheese doodles for snacks. but that is just as good as this plate so don’t hate on crisps and chips and nuts. everything is welcome. Puss

is utterly delicious. Caramelized onions and spicy pork married together with cheddar and jack cheeses. Each side of the massive flour tortilla is grilled until it’s crispy and chewy before getting smothered in their cooling citrusy-jalapeño salsa verde. Still drooling 🤤

Uma receita de Brownie G. O. R. D. O!
Ingredientes para 16 Brownies: • Azeite para untar;
• 200g de farinha auto-elevatória;
• 50g de cacau em pó, peneirado
• 1 colher de chá de bicarbonato de sódio;
• 100g de manteiga, em cubos;
• 100 ml de leite semi desnatado
• 3 ovos batidos;
• 250g de batata-doce, finamente ralada;
• 1 banana grande madura;
1. Pré-aqueça o forno a 200 ºC. Lubrifique e forre a base e os lados de uma terrina quadrada de 23cm de base quadrada com papel manteiga;
2. Misture a farinha, cacau e bicarbonato de sódio numa tigela grande. Faça um poço no centro;
3. Coloque a manteiga numa panela média e derreta em fogo baixo, mexendo regularmente;
4. Tire a panela do fogo e misture o leite na manteiga derretida. Adicione os ovos, batata-doce e banana, mexendo vigorosamente;
5. Despeje lentamente na mistura de farinha, mexendo sempre com uma colher de pau para formar uma massa espessa. Despeje a lata preparada;
6. Asse no centro do forno por 30-35 minutos, ou até que o bolo esteja levantado e firme ao toque.

This is lamb caldereta served by the chefs at Eastridge Golf Club in the Philippines. My cousin manages this golf resort and insisted I try this dish when I came to visit. I've only ever had beef caldereta which happens to be one of my favorite Filipino dishes so I was excited. I mixed my bowl of rice into this Filipino version of a delicious lamb stew and went to town. I was not disappointed. Yes, I liked it better than beef. Goat meat is also used to make this dish.
