handed me a big lesson that I’ve continually had an issue with & evidently had not learned...YET💥
5 minutes into the hamstring session, I felt fatigued, irritable, unmotivated and unable to feel top notch.
It’s not an issue where it effects my personal relationships, career and/or psychological state. But it effects my training.
And it’s 😬👌🏼caloric intake. During the winter ❄️☃️, I don’t have much of a desire to eat as much as usual (which is normally 5-6 times a day) and that really has an effect on my training volume, endurance, strength, #power
& so on. My body needs at least 1500 calories a day at a sedentary level, and I’m not sure I’m getting that on average. So it can be hard to maintain #strength
and increase load over time (if average weekly calories/#macros
are not met)
This is humbling to me, as I’m sharing not-so-highlighting information with you. Like I said, this is a big slap in the face as some people (not me) can fast for 48 hours and train like a muthafacker...... Personally, I am not that way. I need foooooood. With that being said, I want to remind you that if you’re training at all, in any way, at any intensity, #FUEL
. 🍏🍠🍓 Our bodies need fuel to exert physical movement. Especially when trying to build and maintain muscle. If they’re not getting the calories needed, our muscles will not have any room to grow nor have room for maintainence.
