Everytime I drive to Fundy, this old bank always catches my eye. I’ve been wanting to snap some pictures of it forever and finally did yesterday. It’s just a cool little gem that you don’t see everyday.
While at Fundy National Park last weekend, Patrick and I stayed with several friends in the yurts there. We sat around the table playing Jenga and made it up 29 stories! Here’s Patrick around story 28 trying not to topple it over while @cam_secord
Patrick and I had such an amazing weekend at Fundy National Park. The fresh air, friends, and fun times were much needed and I’m feeling refreshed and much more prepared to take on 2019!
Is this the path to Narnia?
The holidays are over. The countdown to the 2019 camping and hiking season has started! Beautiful Dickson Falls in Fundy National Park.
I don’t think people talk enough about mental illness. I’ve struggled most of my life (since 12 y/o) with mental illness. I thought it was depression, told my doctor and he wrote me a prescription. Thought for many many years that it was depression. Fast forward a few years later, I started going back to therapy with a trauma specialist to deal with things. She suggested getting off the meds & taking vitamin d.
All was good until my step father got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I started having shortness of breath + break downs more often. Then the day he died, I fell to my knees. Hyper ventilating, my head going at what seemed like 572947 miles an hr. He was my rock. My heart was shattered. I went on a downward spiral. Worse than in the past. In the mix my cousin died, then my best friend, then my uncle. All within months of each other.
That’s when I started really noticing that it was more than depression or perhaps panic attacks. And I needed help. I started doing more and more research. Then I discovered “borderline personality disorder”. I seen videos on YouTube of professionals explaining what it is and how the person feels. (If you don’t know what it is, do your research) I remember watching it and literally feeling like I finally reached some peace inside of me. I had all the symptoms. They even include depression and anxiety. Everything started clicking together. I went to get tested.
End the stigma against mental health. Without a healthy mind, there’s no healthy life.

Winter in Fundy National Park is a blast with cross-country skiing, birding, snowshoeing, and winter camping in one of five yurts, ten oTENTiks, two rustic cabins, or with your own tent. // Passez l’hiver au parc national Fundy : adonnez-vous au ski de fond, faites de la raquette, observez des oiseaux, on encore faites du camping d’hiver dans l’une des cinq yourtes, dix oTENTiks, ou avec votre propre tente. | 📷 : @luucie_martin #explorenb
New Years resolutions have never been my thing. I set my yearly intentions on my solar return. Regardless of when you set your intentions, it’s only important that you are conscious of setting your goals at some point (weekly, monthly, yearly etc). .
I’m incredibly grateful for this last winter adventure I had with my sister @jule_anne
. Although Yeosu is no winter wonderland ❄️ thankfully I was able to finish 2018 doing what I love, hiking. (And eating copious amounts of cheese.) .
Maybe 2019 will be the year I learn to take a selfie, and obviously I will continue bringing boiled eggs on my hikes. .
Happy NewYears 🎊
Love & Light ✨✨✨
