We’ll never say NO to gNOcci 😉😋
Green smoothie turkey bowls for a fun lunch today. It’s not the prettiest bowl, but Logan had a blast making it. He even freshly squeezed the orange juice ❤️
This is so easy to make! I used the fruit I had on hand, but you can literally use any fruit you want. Just make your favorite green smoothie: ours consisted of frozen tropical fruit blend (Trader Joe’s), fresh orange juice, and spinach. Then we put it in a bowl and topped it with apple slices, an orange slice, a quarter of a grape and some pomegranate seeds. It’s a fun healthy pre-Thanksgiving treat! I think we will be making these the day of Thanksgiving for a healthy breakfast before we chow down on our feast! What do you have for breakfast the day of Thanksgiving?
“Will we turn into dragons if we eat it?”-Owen (4-years old). 🐉This fruit is pleasantly soft, and mild in flavor. It was easy to slice and separate from the skin. “ Dragon fruit is low in calories and offers numerous nutrients, including Vitamin C, phosphorus, and calcium. It also supplies a good amount of fiber and antioxidants.” Oh, and we didn’t turn into dragons. 🖤
Here’s how our Super Spiced Apple Donuts came out. What do you think? Our recipe is inspired by @thecakeblog
Baked Apple Donut recipe. So good! •
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
4 packets Pranayums
1/8 cup butter
½ cup sugar
¼ cup almond milk
1/2 cup applesauce
3/4 cup freshly grated apple
½ cup of granulated sugar •
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, 2 packets of Pranayums and nutmeg. In another large bowl, stir together melted butter, eggs, sugar, almond milk and applesauce. Stir in fresh grated apple. Add 1/3 of the flour mixture to the egg mixture. Stir with wooden spoon. Add another 1/3 of flour mixture and stir. Add remaining flour and stir just until combined. Spoon batter into a large plastic bag. Seal, removing all of the air, and cut the corner off one end. Squeeze batter into the rounds of a donut pan sprayed with non-stick baking spray. Fill each donut round 3/4 of the way full. Use one of your fingers to gently even out the batter in each cavity and clean dough off all other parts of the pan. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, until the tops of donuts spring back slightly when touched. Let cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. If you are coating donuts, do as soon as they’ve cooled 5 minutes. •
For outside coating, combine sugar and 2 packets of Pranayums in a bowl. Prepare a cooking sheet with a cooling rack in it to catch the topping when you’re done coating the donuts. One at a time put the donuts into a bowl and roll it around on all sides in the sugar and Pranayums mixture until you have a thin layer around all sides of the donut, place the coated donut on your prepared cooling rack over a cookie sheet, repeat for all remaining donuts. Enjoy!

People can get stumped on how to pack a healthier kids lunch (or any lunch that wants to be fun!) but it’s really not too hard...especially when your able to go to your local @traderjoes
I go there for almost all of my #kidslunch
food. I make sure to pack plenty of healthy fats by buying trail mix and @chomps
grass fed jerky. Enough protein and a little treat with their @thinkthinbars
protein cakes. And to replace the soda I get them @zevia
They taste just like soda but without the sugar or fake sweeteners. I’ll usually serve this all with a sandwich. You just need a little creativity to make school lunches inviting yet healthy!! ❤️
These jars whisked together by @vickys.healthydreams
really are dream come true. Imagine digging into this on a frosty morning! The blue colour comes from adding #spirulina
in this recipe to banana, coconut milk and coconut cream, are your taste buds tingling yet??
🎄Getting ready for our 25 Days of Books and Breakfast!🎅 For those of you who don't know what this is, during December we read a book every morning leading up to Christmas and I make a special breakfast to go along with the book.

I woke up on point this morning 👌🏻you know when everything goes right (for once 😏) first of all I woke up at 5:30am 😳 I know so early right! Since I was up so early I was so fricken productive 🙌🏻 I also had the best cup of coffee and both kids didn’t hang off of me like a couple of monkeys. Success 😁 so I’m going all out, let’s make some fun toast💚
On the plate: 🍞+🥑 avocado toast owls with tomatoes, fruit and spinach. Kale smoothie on the side ( a little kale, coconut milk, vanilla, banana)

Anyone who knows us know we basically eat our way around the world. Well Peru has blown us away in so many different ways but the food has been nothing short of incredible.
We had the pleasure of dining @centralrest
(Number 6 of the Worlds 50 Best) in Lima and this restaurant is unique not just because of the fantastic tasting menu they serve but the story behind it.
The chef and his sister have traveled Peru far and wide to bring the ingredients to our table. Forging friendships with small tribes of people and helping to sustain century old cultivation practices, Central is truly delivering an unforgettable experience.

First day off the @owlvenice
cleanse 😢, but cheers to my new companion - bulletproof hemp mylk matcha latte. I NEVER use hemp mylk, the boxed stuff always tasted like crap to me. After sipping on hemp mylk the last 4 days, I have worked on a candida-friendly recipe that I think ALL of you will LOVE! It’s so damn creamy & you don’t have to strain it - I’ll give you one ingredient clue: WHOLE VANILLA BEAN, BB! I switched up the bulletproof recipe by adding in one chunk of cacao butter instead of ghee (gives it a white chocolate like taste). Matcha + nut milk + mct oil + cacao + rishi = perfection! Hemp mylk recipe coming soon! 🖤
WHY MATCHA 🍵 👇🏼
The health benefits from matcha come from a chemical substance called epigallocatechin 3-o-gallate or EGCG for short. It is both an antioxidant and an antifungal. The antifungal effects of EGCG on candida has a synergistic effect when used in combination with other antifungals such as fluconazole, however, I'm eating 1-3 T of coconut oil every day due to the high amounts of caprylic acid (one of the three fatty acids) which is a natural antifungal and also has antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties
Tom turkey lunch! This turkey looks a bit like a chicken. But I still think it’s cute. Now it’s time for a long break with my kids. We are so excited!
