Such sad news again in the food world. 😔 I always appreciated when Mr. Gold took the time to reply whenever I asked him for food advice on Facebook and Twitter. Over the years, he shared that his most famous ramen is at Tsujita, his favorite taco in LA is at Mariscos Jaliscos, and that I should visit Asador Etxebarri over Arzak in Spain. I often spotted him at food events around town and one evening dining with his family at the Bellwether. I am embarrassed to say that I went up to him to say hello at the Bellwether and to see what he was eating. I chatted and took a photo with him at a food festival and he told me not to post his identity on social media because he was still an undercover food critic. My most memorable moment was running into him at Snow's BBQ in Texas during SXSW. #ripjonathangold #jonathangold #fuckcancer
