I can't stress it enough. Learning how to manipulate your recipes to fit your fitness goal is the holy grail of nutrition! - You simply need a lot more calories when you're building muscle as opposed to when losing fat. HOW TO BUILD BIG LEGS BY Follow @instara_fitness Credit @jmaxfitness - I have a secret to tell you... - Almost everyone who has big legs built their legs by training them more frequently. - If you only train your legs once per week, they might grow. If you train them 3-4 times per week, then they will grow. They have no other choice but to grow! - Here's what most people do: train their legs once per week with a variety of movements. The workout seems intense, but the next 5-7 days, their legs are sore, so they think it's impossible to train their legs more frequently. The weird thing is that if you train your legs more frequently, then they will be LESS SORE, and they will grow more. - So here's what you should do: focus on a few lower body compound exercises (squats, Bulgarian split squats, deadlifts, leg press) make it your goal to add 50lbs to each of these lifts within the next year. Each day, train them in a different rep range. Progress still going, finally back after missing a lot of time. . . I am the only one to blame for my weight gain and how i look. I never watched what i ate or controlled how many servings. SPLIT SCHEDULES by @kruckifitness - When it comes to training splits, you want to find the one that is most optimal for you based of your schedule and lifestyle. Here are what I'd say to be the best split schedules for trianing 3,4,5 and 6 days a week. - Regardless of the split you choose, you CAN build muscle as long as you're consistent. The best program is the one you can stick to. - For whatever split you do, make sure you have days dedicated to strength (1-5 rep range) and hypertrophy days (6-15 rep range). Mixing strength and hypertrophy training is a great way to maximize muscle gains. - In my opinion, I'd recommend the 3-day split to beginners (0-2 years training), the 4 or 5 day split to intermediates (2-4 years training), and the 5 or 6 day split for advanced (4+ years training). - WHICH SPLIT DO YOU DO? "Supplementation" by @liebeckfitness - If you didn't know already: you don't need ANY supplements to get in shape. They can be concidered a SMALL boost if your diet and nutrition is already on point. If you decide to spend money on supps, what should you buy? 🙄💫 - 1. Whey-protein because it makes it easier to hit your daily protein-requirements when you don't have time to cook. 2. Creatine. It is the most thoroughly researched supplement on the market. It makes your muscles hold a little more water and you will probably have an extra rep in the tank. 3. Caffeine. Coffee is my go-to choice. Increased energy and focus, especially on days when you feel groggy or tired. 4. Omega 3. These fatty acids are very important, but people are often lacking them. 5. Zinc & Magnesium are minerals. They help reduce muscle-cramps among other things. Basically a sort of vitamin-pill. These "ZMA" pills often also contain vitamin B12, which is a good bonus. - Another one that can be useful is beta-alanine. Though it is pretty much a waste of money unless you øike the itchy feeling. 💥💪 - The first 3 of these supps are definately the best for gains.
