sunset last night! 3.5min exposure with @leefilters
Little Stopper. Hard to see on Instagram, but the low clouds that were whizzing by wound up painting the sky with what looks like paintbrush strokes. The light streaks you see in the bottom left are from the traffic on Dallas St. going to and from downtown. Definitely the “safer” route last night than Memorial or Allen Parkway. It was cold as heck on the 8th floor of my apartment building, but I was more than adequately prepared to photograph in last night’s “conditions” with all my #coldgear
. In an annoying set of circumstances, my phone froze and shut off about 5min into being outside. It was kind of nice having my phone fail on me though. Instead of being distracted taking a million behind the scenes photos/video or relying on my Lee Filters Exposure App to calculate the exact exposure time, I was able to enjoy all the sights/sounds of what was going on down below. I also hung on to the small hard copy of my Lee Filters Exposure guide, knowing one day I may need it. It was also nice to have some random conversations with folks at my apartment that were wondering what the hail I was doing outside dressed like I was about to trek outside in Antartica. I may have to leave the phone behind next time!
