🔹okay, so, i finished yomawari night alone (literally minutes before i started writing this, although that was last night. but posting today since i feel asleep lol). actually, it took me a while before i came up with anything to write but i just thought i'd tell you all my thoughts. this will not be a review. just my thoughts. it might end up being long, we'll see.
🔹i actually took a break from this game after almost finishing it in 2018, and i had forgot why, but after going back to it, i understood. that last part was pure rage quit material, but after multiple tries i finally got to that last sequence, and finished the game. man was it good. i probably missed a lot of content, but i'm a bit of a wimp (even though i don't like admitting it), so i just never explored more than necessary. but it's fine. i'm satisfied. i really liked this game, a lot. like a lot a lot. it was weird and spooky and cute and eerie and confusing - but i enjoyed playing it.
🔹let me add, there is only one song in the whole game, that plays only during the end credits (link in bio if you wanna listen), but dang it's good. brings me the ✨feels™✨.
honestly, i didn't mind the fact that there was no music throughout the whole game - because it doesn't feel like anything is missing. the only sounds you hear are your own footsteps, sounds from the occasional spirits, (and some other sound effects i won't list because i'm lazy af.) but it's enough.
🔹to sum it up, this game is short (took me about 5 hours), but sweet. bittersweet. and i love it.
