Time flew by in a very scary way back home. Always something going on. Always rushing. Always distracted. So we vowed to slow the clock down and take it all in. We aren’t in a rush, quite the opposite. Here we are a month in, and finally moving around. But we don’t mind. The pace of our journey is ours, and it’s absolutely perfect 🥥
Missing warmer climates this morning!

Start before you’re ready.
This has been our motto as long as we can remember!
We built our dream home before we felt ready. We started our IVF treatments before we felt ready. We started our foster parent journey before we felt ready. We both quit our traditional jobs before we felt ready...
And this adventure is no exception!!
In fact, we had a few big projects we wanted done before we started this chapter. But guess what, they came with us to Bali! Haha!! We’re wrapping one BIG one for our coaching business today and it feels soooooo good!! Mommy and daddy will be able to truly relax when that email hits SEND!!
But we’re happy we didn’t postpone our trip until we were “ready” That day probably wouldnt ever come! So we think you should TAKE THE LEAP before you’re ready and never look back!!
After getting up at sunrise to see Moraine Lake before the car park filled up, we headed to Lake Louise for a morning hike to work up an appetite for lunch. We followed a trail climbing steadily through the trees, with glimpses every now and then of the bright turquoise lake below. We reached Mirror Lake before pressing on to the Little Beehive, treading carefully through the spring snow (late May) to the lookout, which had the most incredible panoramic views. By the time we reached Lake Agnes we were more than ready for two warming mugs of hot chocolate and a yummy slice of apple crumble at the charming little teahouse, which had just opened a week early for the season - a must visit if you get the chance. A lovely morning out, and we were glad again to have made this trip early. Taken from quite a height, this photo shows the true scale of the mountains which will never cease to impress us.
Can you guess what we were up to today?? 🐠🐠
Part of me has a hard time with my new lifestyle. Maybe it’s because of my very humble upbringing. My childhood dream was to work at a grocery store. I wanted to be a cashier, the kind who didn’t have to bag groceries 🙌 Now, we live in a resort and I don’t have to even get groceries...Part of me still feels like that very average girl from small town Alberta. The girl who just wanted to blend in...Then there’s this other part of me that says: “well, this is what happens when you get your shit together and work your ass off. Get used to it, cause you’re only getting started” Then, she slams the door and runs away...Like, what do I do now?!?! 🤷♀️🤷♀️ I guess what I’m “struggling” with is giving my new lifestyle meaning. OK, we’re here. It’s beautiful. Now what? I want to feed my soul versus having a fancy feed. Get what I’m saying? If it doesn’t have meaning, it means nothing to me. So I definitely don’t have it all figured out. I’m working on it. I’m working on me. It’s uncomfortable. I definitely do not blend in here...But they say every level of life will demand a new version of you. Maybe I’m just super ancy to meet HER.
