- Things to do in Salcombe this Summer !
3️⃣Cliff Walks -
There are some beautiful walks around Salcombe, our favourite walks are along the cliffs there are lots of different places you can walk to, over at East Portlemouth you can walk up to Gara Rock, enjoy the magnificent views from the @gararockdevon
Or from Salcombe catch the south sands ferry and walk to Bolt head the views over starehole bay are some of the best, during the summer months and sometimes winter (the hardy ones) you will get to witness speed boats dashing in and out of starehole often with somebody wake-boarding or waterskiing behind them! You can carry on from here to Hope Cove! On the way you will see signs for @eastsoarfarm
this little treasure is worth stumbling over, its a family run business situated on a @nationaltrustsouthwest
farm. It’s very popular with families and walkers - The “Walkers Hut” is a converted barn that runs a self help service with an honest box system- serving teas, coffees and the most delicious homemade cakes (Please phone ahead if part of a big ramblers or walkers group so they can bake enough goodies.) The farm beside has pet sheep, donkeys, miniature pony, goats (Billy and Gruffy are our favourites)
They also currently have two babies lambs just 6days old today! And there is a wonderful bare foot trail and natural play park for the children.
East Soar farm is also accessible from the road which is both child and buggy friendly, park up at the National trust car park (TQ7 3DR) and walk down the lane to the farm this runs directly alongside the air field so if your lucky you may get to witness a plane land or take off!
You can even stay at East Soar Farm in one of their bell tents ⛺️ for more info visit their website!
