Finally I was able to do some gardening....oh so good to be in my garden with my neighbour...a beautiful garden fairy...who spent hours with me...I had to rest a lot and she carried all the heavy stuff so I could potter...#lovemyneighbours

Environmental Internship Day 19/91 🌿🐾 Cut the grass around the lamps they said. No, not those lamps, when I was knee deep in dirt and insects already. I bet they love having a free extra gardener. And right now I don‘t really mind. I enjoy solitary work a lot. Maybe it‘s not the best way to make people like you and to connect but it‘s nice and calming.
So coming into the office again after doing a few hours of gardening and realizing there hasn‘t been anyone there all day was a positive surprise. Not that I don’t like my colleagues there but having people around you is draining. Especially when you’re already full of anxiety because of your next event.
Did leave early after the preparations and later went to see a movie outside. All the positive things.

Saving picture on my phone so that on some gray winter day I can look at it and think “Remember that day last July? The temperature was 78, the breeze was perfect, the cosmos and the rose of Sharon and the black eyed Susans were in full bloom, the laundry smelled amazing, and you didn’t sit inside and watch movies.” Winter is for movies and remembering Julys.
We love a good weekend project especially when it involves coffee! You can now get bags of our used coffee grounds online to pick up in store and get your garden looking and smelling as good as @foundrygardens
Got a caterpillar problem? I sure do! 🙋🏻♀️
Cabbage worms are a garden nuisance! I’m not talking about the cute swallowtail or monarch caterpillars who are the good guys 🐛 These little green caterpillars can take down a full grown plant in a number of days! They’re often referred to as cabbage worms and they have a taste for brassicas like cabbage, Brussels sprouts, and kale 🌱 Treat your plant ASAP by removing them by hand or using a 100% cold pressed neem oil spray
Neem oil spray recipe: 4tsp 100% cold pressed neem oil + 2tsp dish soap + 1 gallon of lukewarm water. Mix and spray on leaves. Spray in the early morning/at night so the leaves have time to dry off and don’t get burned by the sun. Neem oil is an organic oil, extracted from the neem tree 🌳 Happy pest hunting! 📽 @kimchigardens
Caught this little guy hunting for a snack in the perennial section! Welcome friend! 🐸
Kev and the girls are making our first batch of pickles using dill and cucumbers from our garden. I love how in tune with nature they are because of him. They help him tend to the garden, our honeybees, they birdwatch together and hunt for monarch butterfly eggs to watch hatch. He takes them on adventures to hike through the woods, play in the stream, and climb rocks. He really is the best daddy two little girls could ask for. 💕#naturelovers #beekeeping #gardenlife #gardenlove #getoutside #getoitsideandplay
2 great back to back gardens @rhs_tattonflowershow
today. Both sharing an incredible gate.
Loved the bee/pollinator friendly planting theme this year. The gardens were alive with bees.
Blooms lost from my rough bouquet making in the heat of the day, tossed into the bird bath dish for their own arrangement. ❤️ Lilies are so difficult and messy to arrange, it was my first time, hats off to pro florists, I will never take a proper lily arrangement for granted again. 😬🙌
