It is more than one year since I first came to this amazing country. So many experiences and so many memories.
I came here mainly to improve my ability to speak, read, and write English. And, although that has not been easy, my teachers say that I am improving.
But, I have been learning so much more. For example, in the work I am doing to help with living expenses, I am learning English, too. Meeting customers and chatting with other workers. Also, every day I have to read English at work.
When I have free time I love exploring – exploring many place and walking and looking. Reading street signs and the messages in the windows of shops. Sometimes I have to ask someone to help in finding some place.
I remember seeing my first kangaroo. I was surprised that it took such a long time before I saw my first kangaroo. Then I realised that they seem to be quite shy and maybe afraid to be close to where there are people. I remember, too, when I first saw the Opera House. It is even more spectacular to see the real Opera House that seeing a photo or a video. It was the same when I first say the Sydney bridge. Enormous in size. There are so much more I could write about – but before I stop I wanted to say something about the winter weather. It was SO cold. but it is summer time. Sometimes it is so hot – but, I love it. And, I love visiting the beaches and swimming in the ocean.
These are some of my first year memories – the seafood – I love seafood, and the people. So many new friends and such friendly people. Although I love my home country, Thailand, and I miss my family and friends so much, I also appreciate so much this chance to improve my English and to have so many great experiences.
Thanks Australia and all the Australian people who have made me feel welcome. 🇦🇺💕 #oneyearalready
