Sustainable art= using the same canvas for practicing different ideas over time.
This one canvas has been used to map out an abstract lanscape, to test fluid techniques, varnish application, posca pen detailing and now for it has been used to draft a protea painting. I wonder what its next use will be...

The wise words of my mum this morning as I sat here contemplating ❤️
When you are questioning where you are going in life take a read of this.
. “You are going places my love.
You know where you are heading but it’s in the distance and it seems quite hazy.
But you know what it feels like.
Exciting promising and unlimited by your imagination.
Hold those those feelings to you.
They are yours.
Don’t let your mind make you falter.
Look back only to take stock of where you have been and what you have successfully achieved and where you have travelled both physically and emotionally.
You have lived and experienced every moment.
The blurs are only because you weren’t fully in the moment and perhaps were focussed on the next thing you wanted to do.
What you have done can’t be measured by any universal means that is valued by others.
What we seek is inner fulfilment yet we seek outward measures of the worth of our successes.
When we admire someone and acclaim their achievements it’s because they align with our own vision and passions.
Use that knowledge to move us forward in that direction.
But remember what we can and will achieve is based on what opportunities we envision and how we imagine our relationship with that.
Is anything possible as they say?
It’s not - if we say it’s not.
And it is possible - if we can imagine and forge ahead with it.
It may not be exactly as you imagine - it could be better.
You have achieved what you need to achieve at this point - that will take you to your interests passions and dreams .
Being 25 is just a number.
A number is just a number - you have so much more to do in the next 25 years.
What you are doing and where you are heading and what you have done is just right for you” L. Moseley
❤️❤️❤️ She’s a pretty good egg. I come from a family of contemplators and philosophers. I replied saying she should write a book with all her thoughts haha
