But on another note I broke out of my long comfort zone on dead lifts tonight. I’ve been warming up with 35s for awhile now... longer than I’d like to admit. I was making great progress on my deads and then I just stopped doing them. They are probably my favorite lift and I don’t know why I neglected them. Needless to say, I’m building them back up again and with that my grip strength. I do them until I can’t hold the bar anymore. Tonight I warmed up with 45s and did those for 4 sets of 8, then increased weight for my last 2 sets. Yes Kaden Rose and Wonderful Wes Dawson brought home yet another huge win at Victory Ring in November but the young team TIMELESS certainly made us work for it. There was no doubt we would reign supreme, but we were hoping for a more leisurely encounter. After a swift kick to the ole grey matter I turned to find this damned flying monkey heading my way. (Insert cheesy transformation quote here)😝But some real talk for a second; results don’t happen over night. You have to work hard to get to a goal...and then you have to work even harder to continue seeing change. It’s taken SIX YEARS to get to where I’m at today and I have to remind myself constantly about all the positive changes I’ve made in my life for my own health and well-being. This is what I’ve learned; be ACTIVE and move every day, even when you don’t want to. TRY different things out; I ate Paleo for at least four years during this time because I educated myself on the health benefits and got introduced to it by @brielikecheese
(always grateful for that). Do I eat that way now? No, but you have to try things out to see what works for your goals and your body. WE are NOT cookie cutters so something that is an instant hit for one person may not be great for you. And probably the most important lesson I’ve learned is to NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP based on your appearance. We live in a superficial world where people are “ranked “based off of perceived attractiveness and it’s hard to not get caught up in. Focus on how you feel; do you sleep well every night? Does the food you eat make you feel good and that you can conquer the day? Are you happy with what you’re doing everyday?
Long story short is that HARD WORK PAYS OFF. Have a goal, crush it, have five more other goals, and smash those too.

Happy with the session today, making marginal gains every single week! Began with my warm-up, which included a pulse raiser, some muscle activation, light stretching and mobility. The exercises I did with the weight and reps are below. Ended with a pulse lowerer as a cool-down. Nice relaxing session afterwards too! 🏋😁

Alternate Leg Bounding for distance (there full distance and then back) - x4

Hamstrings and light quads this A.M..
Here’s one of my favorite finishers for quads. Take a 45lb plate and place your heels on it just inside shoulder with and squat away. Keep the weight moderately light and focus on pressing through your toes. 3 sets of 12-15 reps and your legs will be toasted!
