For those of you who’ve never fasted before, here are a few tips to make this a fun experience: (1). Start out with short fasts. (skip breakfast) Once you understand how it affects your body, then slowly extend your fasting hours. Many people think short fasts are harder than extended fasts. After a few days, hunger pangs tend to subside. (2). When you fast try to do it with friends, your partner or your family. It helps to process your experience easier with other people. This will encourage you while you fast. (3). Give yourself extra margin and rest. When you fast, plan on going to bed early. This is a trick I am using right now. My dinner/last meal will be around 6 to 7 pm then tomorrow morning I’ll break my fast around 8am (14h fast) or 10am (16h fast). Sometimes I extend for another hour or 2. 😁 #daredevil
(4). Drink a lot of water. Staying hydrated is important. When you are in your fasting window, meaning no food or drinks with calories. You are only allowed to drink black coffee (yes, just coffee. No creamer, no sugar, no nothing), almost all kind of teas and water. (5) Make a fasting schedule/calendar. For example, for this week's 3 day fast. You'll be fasting on monday, wednesday and friday. The days I haven't mentioned will be your non fast day. Then repeat it every week.

So far I’ve put on about 3-4 lbs since I decided to start bulking. Feels fucking amazing to be going up in my lifts again & noticing a bit more size already🙌🏼 My goal is to get back to about 170ish lbs but hopefully keep my abs this time around😅
Last year I did my first ever “real” dirty bulk where I didn’t give a shit about what I ate or my body fat percentage and I learned a lot from it (Like that I don’t want to do that again lol😖) so I’ll be taking this one a lot more slowly. Curious to see the differences in outcome🙇🏼♂️

This was a powerful idea that really hit home for me this past weekend. One of the reasons I became a coach is to help other women who are exactly where I was on day one. The women who go through the same struggles and ups and downs that I go through.
I wish I could reach out and hug that old version me and tell her she is going to get through this, and find a community all her own of like minded people, who just want to be the best versions of themselves.

We've all heard numerous times that movement/training/exercise is good for you. That it's good for the body as well as the mind. The latter is what I will focus on for this specific post. .
I suffered from severe depression and social anxiety from a young age. It has taken years of trial and error until I and the people who make my support system found a solution. What has dramatically enabled me to live a functional life was NOT a single particular thing. No magic pill. .
What DID help me consistently was moving. There is something inherently healing about simply moving your body. It has been a TREMENDOUS factor in my recovery and continuously is to this day. THAT is why I entered the Fitness industry.
