Lifting weights didn't just change my body, it changed my entire life . I used to spend everyday wishing I could be smaller. Shrinking down my body so people wouldn't notice me. Downplaying my talents, strengths, and desires because I didn't believe I was worth it. Eating as little as possible I if I hadn't "earned" my food that day . ✨ But now things are so much different ✨ . I move & breathe with confidence. I stand up for what I believe in. I feed my body lots of yummy food without guilt. And I don't care about the number on the scale. I decided I wanted to be STRONG not skinny, both physically and mentally. . Left is Aug. 2016 ➡️ Right is Aug. 2018. . This transformation isn't a totally accurate depiction because the first pic is from when I had already been lifting weights for about a year. I was so self conscious before I avoided cameras at all cost, and I honestly don't know where a picture of me from back then would even be. But I was about 15ish lbs lighter than the first pic, and I'm only 5ft tall so that's a pretty big difference. . Remember that you are worth it, even if it doesn't feel like it. Never let yourself forget to treat your body like the incredible gift that it is. After all, we only get one for our whole lifetime. . What's one thing you love about yourself? I love how I can make a joke out of anything 🤣

WOW....! • LET me start this post by saying I am NOT on a pre-workout come down • Right so... where the hell do I begin with this! - not only was I focused entirely on my workout but I managed to push myself and work past any mental barriers I had during today's workout! • For those wondering my dose it was 3x pr3 and 2x pump • I was able to get huge pumps from my session today and maximise my potential during! It kept me focused and driven, driven to give it that little bit more and not doubt myself on a rep or 2, instead of just going for the basics I worked into my program a time for doing nothing but go for reps this was predominantly on LAT pull down, superset with bicep rope curls, I didn't count the reps I just did 4 sets of 15reps past the point of pain.. to really get the use from the pump serum! • When I mentioned about the pre-workout come down earlier in this post is because I am so physically drained from the graft put in on today's session that I haven't even realised until I was at home and relaxing! While I was at the gym my entire focus and dedication took over and kept my mind and body on track to achieve the goals needed! • Other pre workouts I have had before have had no where nearly the same effect as this but they made me feel sluggish and tired after a session! Hippocrates said, “Before you heal someone, ask him if he’s willing to give up the things that made him sick”. I know I have come a long way but I definitely have a long way to go. I’ve gotten a handle on my nutrition and my fitness is consistent (although, I have goals that I still want to achieve-lifting heavier, losing weight and gaining more muscle tone). But, I also want to feed my mind more and give up on some of the other unhealthy behaviors I engage in (binge watching Bravo and Netflix). None of these things happen overnight. I plan to start small. Goals come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, about a number of different aspects in our lives. We just have to know that there will be sacrifices made. It might suck at first but getting to where you want to be is the main objective. That maybe I should do Bikini. My quads aren’t big enough. My waist isn’t small enough. That if I wanted to do Figure & WIN I’d have to take a bunch of steroids & look a certain way. A certain way I’m not particularly interested in looking. I fretted a bit... started to go backwards & then had a solid conversation with my husband & biggest supporter @belgian_beast . He reminded me of what’s important. • 💯 When I look at women like @sheevz21 & @laurenlf I get excited about continuing to grow. I believe their physiques are amazing & truly beautiful. I LOVE to lift! Long & heavy. One hour is never enough. • 💯 So I smile today knowing I am going to keep running with hope in my heart & dreams in my head. I am going to create a physique that I love when I look in the mirror. If that doesn’t take me pro because I didn’t take tons of gear or get as big as the other girls well then at least I will be happy with those stage shots of my accomplishment & the pride I felt on that stage. I’m doing this because I love this. Win or no... it’s the journey that’s important & I genuinely love every minute of it. Even the cardio! #sweatingoutthebs

Let’s talk about STRESS, baby! ⁣ ⁣ Does the holiday season have your head spinning? ⁣ ⁣ Gah, me too. The energy is in the air right now.⁣ ⁣ I’m stressed because I have a ton of packages going to both my apartment and my parents house and it is getting hard to track everything.
