Hey you! Take a long walk off a short ledge!! Just kidding friends. But we did see a young girl posing for a photographer here doing what looked like contemporary dance moves and she was WAAYY too close to the edge of this cliff. It’s a 1500’ drop to the forest floor from here 😳 Otherwise, a superb day for a Fall hike in the Whites
I finally found it! I’ve gone to the local Barnes and Noble and Whole Foods multiple times and they still didn’t have it. I happened upon it today when I was running some errands 🤣. As a service member, it truly makes me happy that Yoga Journal realizes just how beneficial yoga is for military members. I am not sure how many of you know that I joined the military to bring yoga to service members. I was inspired by my husband @jtschoeff
who serves in the Marine Corps and is my hero. I joined the Air Force because I love my country but also because I felt like the best way to bring yoga to service members was to become one myself. While I was stationed at Hickam Air Force Base, I found @warriorsatease
. I can’t even express to you how excited I was to find an organization that had the same goals as me! They are changing the world. Trust me. They have a badass Army Veteran @susanalden_aloha
as their Executive Director. I am humbled and honored to represent my yogi and yogini brothers and sisters-in-arms on the cover of this magazine. And if you think that this is a contradiction to have a military member on the cover of a yoga magazine because you believe military members cannot possibly practice ahimsa, I ask you this, are your words not violent if yoga (in your opinion) can only be practiced by some people but not all? To quote Douglas MacArthur, “The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.” When we heal one, we heal all. When we heal all, we will heal the world. If you cannot see the big picture and why this is so important and so beautiful, I will never be able to paint it for you. For those of you who can, I thank you. And my fellow service members and Veterans thank you. *
I would love to see you and your copy of the November Yoga Journal. Tag @theyogagypsea @warriorsatease @robertsturman @yogajournal

Feels like maybe I should apologize for posting so many photos of the Cliffs of Moher...but here’s a photo spam instead 😁 I mean, how can I not? The view is absolutely fantastic!!

Glass on the lake, bluebird and snow in the mountains. I can’t dream better scenarios.
A chilly morning in the Rockies with my boy @jack_thewolfskin
Sunrise on this morning was a bit of a no show but just being out there is half the fun!
It’s my birthday today, I’ve had a wonderful day hiking (hobbling with my crutches) and enjoying the Fall sunshine. Check out my story!
is a childhood friend of mine from Indonesia days. She is there right now with a relief team helping the Palu Tsunami victims! Go follow her for gorgeous photography. Indonesia’s aid resources have dried up after major earthquakes in Lombok earlier in the year. Help is desperately needed for this international level disaster - join me in donating! Funds go directly to help victims and their families. Link in bio
⛪️Borgund Stave Church ⛪️ built sometime between 1180 and 1250 AD has walls that are formed by vertical wooden boards, or staves, hence the name "stave church". So preserved and rich in history would make anyone want to chuck on a suit of armor.
Exposed skin is cold skin.
summer is runnin away from me just about as fast as hope runs toward those marmots
Whenever I read a shirt or a Facebook post that says something about “leaves and boots” this is always what comes to mind. My favorite thing to wear in the fall is a sweatshirt, jeans, and cowboy boots, and my favorite place to be is in the woods.⠀
If I had it my way, I’d spend every weekend in October in a tree stand. I can tell that hunting has been on my mind, because I’ve been dreaming about it (which is slightly concerning because I might be turning into my dad). Hopefully me and my bow will make it to the woods this weekend.
Attempting to create a life full of experiences that make me smile, people that make me laugh, and passions over obligations. They say the best things in life are free anyway. Here are a couple of them.
theres always light at the end of the tunnel
Got a bunch of errands I need to run tomorrow but I’m hoping to squeeze a sunrise or sunset into my day or some kind of shooting time.
Experiencing a bug where I can’t include any hashtags in my caption, anyone else experiencing this issue?
Last light of the day falling on the mountain peaks
I could never get tired of this hike. Or any Canyon for that matter.
Adventure session: Backpacking around Mount Baker, sleeping in a fire lookout, drinking from a sketchy tarn, eating miles of blueberries, accidentally eating something that wasn’t a blueberry, star gazing, and a PROPOSAL!
It's hard to stay positive when your surroundings and circumstances weigh you down but somehow getting outside and seeing something incredible helps me forget about it all in the moment
Put together a quick edit of our time in the mountains. Even though it was cold, I’m glad we got to experience some fall weather.
The fog makes this photo look a bit like a painting, especially the leaves. But I’m embracin’ it.
This is one of my favourite streets. The trees meet in the middle and during autumn it comes alive🌳🍂
A day in the mountains is a day well spent 🗻⛷ With nothing but sunshine in the forecast we decided to go out and take advantage of what was left from the last storms. #rocktober #day2
