Working your core, at any point, after you've had a baby is by far one of the most difficult things in your path to being who you were pre-baby. You don't really understand how important that section of your body is and how just about everything you do depends on it. I can't stress enough how much you NEED to work this area, even if it's simple stretches (which are never truly as simple as you think). You may never bounce back exactly the same and that's ok. Hey! You performed a miracle! Just gain some strength and confidence so you feel good. All done while Aria napped. I'm learning that anytime she starts her afternoon nap i need to immediatly get into the gym. This time my workout was only 30ish minutes long and I was able to get in a quick shower afterward before she woke up for her late afternoon meal. As far as how my workout went, it was amazing! My bench and overall upper body strength has definitely increased and I'm so excited. My upperbody has always lagged behind so its nice that I was able to train it all throughout my pregnancy and it has paid off. Cannot wait to PR my bench! It’s all about baby steps. After surgery I couldn’t do anything for exercise. I was basically couch bound for almost 3 weeks. 😭😭😭 • I was in so much pain. I thought my shoulder would never feel normal again. 🤕🤕🤕🤕 • I felt like a prisoner trapped in my own body with all my self defeating thoughts attacking me daily. I felt like a failure. • I learned during this time that slowing down was a good thing. I was able to learn how to process my emotions in a different way than just hitting pads or a bag. 😀🙏❤️😄 • I learned a lot more about self care and doing what was best for me. Not worrying about others expectations of me were. (That was a first.) 👍👍 • This recovery time has turned into an over all healing for me. Not just for my body, but for my mind too. 🤯🤩 • I don’t take my body for granted any longer and I get to enjoy looking forward to progress marks in my recovery. 💪💪💪 • Since I can workout more with my upper body now I knew I needed to jump back into a fitness community to help support me and hold me accountable while I go through a new workout program. I am a little nervous but excited to do it. I am feeling empowered and motivated! • Grateful to be moving again and surrounding myself with amazing likeminded people. 🙏💪❤️🔥 I am also excited to share my progress with you. 😀🥰

What I wish I knew when I first started... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🤦🏼‍♀️ Fruits are carbs. 🤯 Never even knew this! I thought fruits were just fruits and protein! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🤦🏼‍♀️ Protein shakes help you lose weight. 🤯 Protein shakes AID in getting more protein in your body and a weight loss is from a calorie deficit (I can help with this if you’re confused) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🤦🏼‍♀️ WTF IS A MACRO?! 🤯 Man, if I would have known about macros and macro tracking from the start I could have seen results sooner. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🤦🏼‍♀️ 1200 calories and fad diets don’t allow for long term weight loss. 🤯 Paleo, Atkins, 1200 calorie diets were all something popular a few years ago when I wanted to lose weight. I didn’t know what one to choose so I did nothing 🤷🏼‍♀️ NOW I know none were sustainable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🤦🏼‍♀️ You can’t take a magic pill, and go to the gym and eat pizza daily to lose weight. 🤯 Seriously?! Ook ik wil me graag voorstellen. Mijn naam is Bianca. Ik ben alweer 39 jaartjes jong 🥳. In het dagelijks leven ben ik mama van 2 kindjes, partner van mijn lief 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 en werk ik als adviseur geluid/luchtkwaliteit. Hardlopen is sinds mijn twaalfde mijn passie ❤️. Tijdens het hardlopen kan ik lekker mijn hoofd leeglopen en/of geniet ik van de omgeving of lekker los gaan op de atletiekbaan. Het liefst loop ik samen met anderen. Samen weet je elkaar te motiveren en nog net even dat extraatje eruit te halen. Maar het is vooral heel gezellig. Voorheen liep ik 800/1500 meters op de atletiekbaan. Nu richt ik me op de 5 km. Na 2 bevallingen en een keer langdurig ziek geweest te zijn probeer ik mijn conditie en snelheid weer terug te krijgen. Dit gaat met ups en downs. Het plezier in hardlopen is voor mij op dit moment het belangrijkste. En dat lukt zeker met de meiden van de High Speed Ladies. Op termijn hoop ik op de 5 km weer eens richting de 20 minuten te kunnen gaan.
