With a recent move to Stornoway, I've quickly realised how lucky I had it in Glasgow with gym equipment .
We managed to find a local gym that is as old school as they come - with some barbells, a bench, heavy dumbbells, and a cable machine packed into a snug room (but tbh I absolutely love it). I could have either skipped out on a lot of my exercises (and blamed the gym), or be creative to get those isolations! All it took was a little patience and experimentation with the stuff available - making the most of what I've got, I now know 2 isolation movements I can do without machines 😅 .
A good reminder that you don't need a fancy gym with fancy equipment, all you need is something heavy to move and a brain to figure out how to move it .
Next time you get to the gym and find its too busy to use the machines - instead of huffing and walk out, or stand doing sweet f.a till its free, why not go experiment and workout how to use the free weights to your advantage? (and remember to eat less and move more bitches #doggydiet
