They'll be times you want to quit. Dont! Nothing worth having comes easy. Not everyday is easy and not everyday do we jump into our workout enthusiastically but we do it because we have a goal (at least we should). As some of you may know, I just had a beautiful baby boy. He is now 2 months (reason why my IG account wasn't much active). But guess what, I'm back! I was back the the minute my Dr gave me the green light to workout.
2 weeks ago (2 weeks this Saturday), I decided to pick up a program that I absolutely love! A program that although with a newborn I'd be able to get my workouts in without having to leave my blessing behind. A program that I knew had every tool I needed to succeed and slay my goal. EVERYTHING at my fingertips...EVERYTHING!! Now don't get me wrong, just because everything would be at my fingertips and pretty much handed to me on a silver platter doesn't mean I don't have to do my part and put in work! NOTHING WORKS UNLESS YOU DO!! And how easy is it to dedicate 30 minutes of my time into my workouts? I was READY to COMMIT and SUCCEED so, I invested 30 minutes a day (while my baby naps) into myself, into my health and fitness. I'm sure you've heard the saying, "Do Something Today That Your Future Self Will Thank You For". Oh boy am I THANKFUL and PROUD and ADDICTED, lol. Two weeks into this workout regiment and I'm 9 lbs down. 9 LBS!!! YASSSS!!! I have 1 more week before this workout regiment is complete ( I can't wait to see my final results) and then I'm moving on to my next workout program. On to my next goal. I'm super excited!! "NOTHING WORTH HAVING COMES EASY".I want to pay it forward. I'm starting this EXACT workout program with my up coming challenge group and I'm looking for 5 motivated ladies to join me. I'm not proud of what I did...
It was 1993, I was 12. My friend Neil got his hands on a gun.
Instantly, he was the coolest kid in the village.
I should point out this was a pellet gun, not a Glock 9mm. It's rural England, not The Bronx.
One day we decided to head out and put our gun handling skills to the test.
Our day as action heroes started by shooting each other in the back of the head and in the ass. Yes, we were that fucking dumb.
After quickly realising getting shot sucks, we devised a new plan...
"Let’s go shoot something that isn’t one of us." Genius!
So we headed to a field at the top of the village full of fluffy white sheep.
Perfect targets. After all, their fluffy white coats would absorb the impact.
Now, I’m not proud of this decision. But the good news is neither of us could hit the broad side of a stationary bus.
So the sheep were left unscathed.
Even though my actions were those of an absolute moron 25 years ago, they in no way influence the person I am today.
I was just a kid who did stupid shit.
And here’s the thing.
You’ve made some bad decisions in the past.
You’ve followed the fad diets, been tantalised by supplements, and chased the quick fix instead of doing the right thing.
There’s a good chance you believe this is a side of your personality you can’t change. That you’re destined to be stuck at square one.
But just like I’m no sadistic sheep shooter. You’re not a dieting failure.⠀
You simply haven’t hit the target yet.
Right now you’re adopting the scatter gun approach to your weight loss.
Randomly, spraying fat loss bullets and hoping something hits the target.

Workout of the day, 3 sets,
RUN back & forth + STATIONARY WORKOUT
1. Run + Backward lunges x20 reps
2. Run + Mountain climber x20 reps
3. Run + Plank tap x20 reps
4. Run + Tricep dip x20 reps
Listen to your body and do according to your pace!
You can gradually increase the number of reps 😍
In the gym I see a lot of females who say they are lifting light weights because they want to “tone up but not get bulked” (typically when I ask what they mean by bulked I get shown pictures of girls with 10+ years of training, a few gear cycles, and a definite INTENTION to get bulked - trust me there are even girls who have been trying to achieve “bulky” for years are not yet bulky💀you’re not going to put on muscle that fast even if you’re trying - but hey if someone finds how to make this phenomena work HMU)
when lifting weights, you’re either building muscle or you’re not - there’s no such thing as “toning” a muscle, attempting to either is going to waste your time or do the opposite of what you’re wanting (lol humor me here)
A “toned” physique is just a result of having substantial muscle mass with a low body fat
to achieve this you must alter your fat to muscle ratio by gaining muscle and losing fat - both goals which can be done in MUCH more efficient ways than lifting light weights
sooo depending on your weight and rep scheme - you’re either 100% wasting your time accomplishing nothing
you’re actually unintentionally putting yourself in the golden range for muscle hypertrophy (growth in size - lighter weight with more focus on the pump/contraction)
So what should you do? Pick one goal at a time - focus on it for AT LEAST 6 months and don’t over complicate it or try to do things that aren’t scientifically sound 🤓always break down the mechanisms behind achieving your goal (When in doubt - move some heavy weight & eat slightly under or above maintenance cals😇❤️🙏🏻)
