Tomorrow is the last day of my 8 week weightlifting program! It was perfect for me being 40 min workouts 4 days a week! I feel stronger, look leaner, and my clothes fit better. This analogy by @pheasyque is 🔥 @Regrann from @pheasyque - ⭕️DEADLIFT ANALOGIES⭕️ - One of my "all time favorite". This is the first analogy that clicked in my head when I first learned how to do a proper deadlift. I really hope it’ll make sense to all of you. - ❌Most people treat the deadlift like a “fishing pole”: - where the pole = back, the fisherman = legs, and the fish = the weight. - When you try to pull the fish with the pole, most of the stress is placed on the pole itself, while the fisherman is basically glued to the ground. If you try to carch a heavy fish, the pole would bend until it’d break. That’s exactly how you develop lower back pain: you try to pull the bar with your back instead of using your legs, aka “doing the fishing pole deadlift”. - ✅ On the other hand think about the deadlift as a pulley, where: - the pulley = the back, the man pulling the rope = your legs, - It becomes much safer. The pulley (your back) does NOT move: it’s blocked, it’s fixed. Sure it holds the weight up, but the load is carried and hooked to the rope, which is pulled by the hands (your legs). This serves as an analogy to explain that your back stays tight & firm, your hands are hooked to the weight, while the “pull” is done by your legs. If the weight would be too heavy, you’d end up not being able to “pull the rope”, without breaking it though! You rather not lift the weight than lift it with bad technique. - You need to push those feet through the ground to pull the weight up. - So, which deadlift do you do? The “fishing pole deadlift” or the “pulley deadlift?” - 🔥🔥🔥TAG a friend who needs to see this! #pheasyque

Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, Nocalgin, Dicoflenac, etc. Die Liste ist lang und wir alle kennen sie, die oft gebrauchten Schmerzmedikamente. 🤨 ▪️ Wenn dich das nächste mal starkes Kopfschmerzen plagt oder du einen unangenehmen Schmerz verspürst, überlege lieber zweimal bevor du effektiv zu den stark nebenwirkungsreichen Schmerzmedikamenten greifst.😒 ▪️ Eine interessante Studie hierzu hat eine spannende Erkenntnisse gemacht, speziell für die Männer unter uns sollte dies ein Weckruf sein! ▪️ Dänische Forscher haben 31 gesunden Männern im Alter von 18 bis 35 Jahren 44 Tage lang 600 mg Ibuprofen verabreicht. Gemessen wurden unter anderem der Testosteronspiegel sowie LH und FSH. Am Ende des Studienzeitraumes war der Testosteronspiegel fast identisch mit dem vor der Studie, doch LH und FSH stiegen deutlich an. ▪️ Wenn wir uns die Achse noch einmal vor Augen führen, heißt das, dass der Körper versucht, über eine erhöhte LH- und FSH-Ausschüttung den Testosteronspiegel oben zu halten. Die Forscher nehmen an, dass Ibuprofen die Funktion der Leydigzellen stört und daher mehr LH und FSH nötig sind, um die Testosteronproduktion dennoch am Laufen zu halten. ▪️ Ein Marker für die Funktion dieser Zellen ist das Testosteron/LH-Verhältnis, welches am Ende der Studie um 23 Prozent höher lag als vorher. Interessant ist dabei auch, dass je mehr Ibuprofen im Blut vorhanden war, umso höher auch die Gehalte der beiden Hypophysenhormone waren. ▪️ LH ist insbesondere auch für die Reifung der Spermien verantwortlich. Zwar konnte über den Zeitraum von 44 Tagen keine signifikante Reduktion des Testosteronspiegels gezeigt werden, doch die Ergebnisse deuteten darauf hin, dass der Körper mehr Mühe hat seinen Spiegel zu halten. ▪️ Er muss den negativen Effekt des Ibuprofens auf die Leydigzellen durch LH und FSH kompensieren. Auf lange Sicht könnte es sein, dass der Körper diese Kompensation nicht mehr schafft und daher ein Testosteronmangel entstehen kann, so die Vermutung der Forscher. Nicht nur aus diesem Grund sollte man Schmerzmittel nur dann einsetzen, wenn es unbedingt nötig ist und auch nicht länger als angeordnet. Weniger ist in dem Fall mehr! ⬇️
FORM FIX - LYING HAMSTRING CURL . This is an exercise that needs to be included in your training if you want to fully develop your hamstrings because it requires movement or flexion at the knee joint. . The only problem is, this exercise is often done with poor form. I don’t think it’s so much a case of ego lifting, but more a case of you just don’t know. You don’t expect a machine exercise to be so nuanced do you? . The key with this exercise is engaging the abs, and to a degree the glutes, to ensure that your pelvis doesn’t tip forward or tilt anteriorly, which stops your back from arching. . Your upper thigh should be glued to the bench rather than coming off. If you do this, I’ll guarantee you’ll smoke your hamstrings. . There’s another trick you can use to make this exercise even more challenging and focused on your hamstrings, but that’s a post for another day. . If you want more, comment: "I want my form fixed”. Single leg deadlifts w/ cables, I love throwing my body off especially when I’m use to a certain routine. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is combining balance with resistance training. When you’re only on one foot, the last thing you want is to try and activate a muscle while going full ROM in a balance exercise, but it’s the best way to take your workout to the next level. This will force you to stabilize your core, maintain mind/muscle connection, and force you to focus as hard as you can to balance yourself. Hip Thrust: My favorite booty exercise 😍. Things I focus on during hip thrust. 🙌 •Glutes and hamstrings controlling the weight down, feel the stretch in them. • In other words don’t “sit up” torso only moves because hips moved first. • Squeeze Glutes to lift weight up and pause at top. • Heels under knees at the TOP of movement. Starting point they feel too far out in front. • Arms locked out (don’t bend) to keep bar from rolling up body and keep it over Glutes (below pelvic bone) where your power is. • Back in a safe position, shoulders back and down, Squeeze shoulder blades together, tuck Lats into back pockets. • I like bench to hit right on my Lats helps me keep back tucked tightly together so no strain on lower back at all. ————————————— Today: Building sets of 12 reps... 135-185-225 then drop back 205-185. Don’t be afraid to go HEAVY on these. — FULL BODY WORKOUT UNDER AN HOUR! — Sooo my sister is visiting from SC and I haven’t seen her or my nephew in 2 yrs 😳 BUT goals don’t go according to your social life, your social life needs to go according to your goals 😉 Sooo I still hit the gym this morning but to make the best of my time with my family wanted to keep it under an hour and heart rate up the entire time😊 — A full body workout including proper warm up, 20 mins of cardio (warm up was included in this) resistance training, and a proper cool down/stretch took me about 55 mins😳 no excuses.
