Bending so I don’t Break 🌻 | Happy Monday beautiful people! Wishing you an awesome start to your week. Remember to push yourself towards your dreams & goals this week but to also be kind to yourself & position yourself in a healthy way to get you give yourself the best possible start.
In Ghanaian tradition, there is a ashantihene symbol called “San Ko fa” [san - koh - fah] meaning “go back & fetch it”. This teaches us to bring the wisdom that our past & our history has taught us, so that we may know ourselves & who we are without doubt, so that we can move forwards, with this wisdom & knowledge. Not forgetting who we have been we are able to make the best choices possible in the present and for our futures.
When we grow, we do not cast away all the knowledge past lessons have taught us, that would be foolish. We do however #letgo
of the emotional attachment, the limiting beliefs and carry the pure wisdom through.
My father always told me that if you learn from a mistake, then it is not a mistake but a lesson and lessons learned grow a wise (wo)man.
Take that which will aid you, leave that which will pain you. Each day, each moment you have the choice to Let Go & Grow, knowing that you have integrated the wisdom of your past as well as accumulating the wisdom of your parents & ancestors.
Feel the knowing that resides within you & let it give you the courage to rise to your own destiny! 💎💪🏽👁💪🏽💎
