🔆MVacay Tip🔆 the Gingerbread Cottages are adorable to look at, but they are competitive to rent. Owners are only allowed to rent them to others for a limited number of weeks per summer! 🏡 |📸: @elisabethmroche

18" x 24" Oil on Canvas - 2019
A couple of weeks ago, I posted a pencil sketch of a Victorian cottage. Fresh off the easel, is the completed painting. This painting is quite complex and intricate with Victorian details and Motifs. A painting like this usually requires good photo references, and or doing a plein air study on location. In this case, I had a great photos, that I took several years ago. I have titled this piece, Heartwarming Welcome. There is a cat up on the railing to welcome you this beautiful Victorian cottage. Enjoy!
As of yesterday, the Oak Bluffs Steamship terminal has reopened for the season. On this Throwback Thursday our friends at Martha's Vineyard Antique Photos, remind us of what the line for the ferry looked like back in the day.
Today only spring sunbeams play inside the Tabernacle but in three short months, on June 29, the Tabernacle Choir will be holding its first rehearsal of the 2019 season. If you'd like to sing out this summer, check in with Bob Cleasby when you arrive or drop by the office to find out more. We can't wait! #mvcampmeeting
One of the most unique housing developments in #ontario
A group of Canadian believers held revivals here in the summer months. The area was known then as the Ontario Methodist Camp Meeting Ground. They had tents then. But the revivals grew, and so did the crowds.... eventually they built cottages... and a temple... and then the cottages became more permanent and colorful. If you are in the area of #grimsby
you must take a walk and see. There so much more to see and say.... I’ll post a few more photos today of our walk. Hope you enjoy! #gingerbreadcottages #colours #sunflowers #historicgrimsbybeach
