Great things are done by a series of small things brought together 💫
It’s all an adventure that comes with a breathtaking view... 🙈
“If you want to learn what someone fears losing, watch what they photograph”
Traveling alone has taught me that you become more centered within yourself.
When you travel alone, you see yourself and your actions outside of the influence of others. You are never in a complete vacuum and will be swayed by the chaos around you; however, you get to choose where you want to go for whatever reason, even if you have no real reason at all. You don’t ever need one.
I have found that when I travel alone, I am able to submerge myself mentally in a space. I become more observant of my surroundings whether it is walking through the Guatemalan rainforest, biking through the streets of Rome, or boating on the small strip of sea that separates Spain from Africa. I am able to be in the moment and not have it obstructed by someone else’s opinion, perception, or distractions.
I’m allowed to let my body aimlessly wander in no particular direction and let my legs have a life of their own. They end up bring me to corners I might have missed if a travel companion wanted to turn around. I can go as far as I want for as long as I want. There are no compromises, no juggling between needs, waiting around for someone else to get ready, or disagreements over what to do. You are allowed to be completely selfish. Which also means you have to be completely self-reliant. That is where the real fun begins.
When the chaos of your life and world falls away, you are left with just yourself- you see which sides of you are essential and which can soften. The endless bus rides, conversations with new people, and time spent away from home show you the potential of who you can become. The outside expectation that makes up your home dissolves, and you are able to clearly see what drives you.

Last day of beach, on to pyramids and old Egyptian stuff tomorrow.
🇵🇷 #ElMundoPorMisOjos #TravelersLatam
With all of the traveling I do, it’s important to me to keep track of time (not with my phone) without compromising my style. This rose gold, white marble faced watch from @mvmt
does just that #jointhemvmt
😜 Use code lizzyzina15 for $15 off your next watch, promise it’s worth it 😊
First snow has hit the mountains, whoooop! Can’t wait for winter hikes in the Cascades :D
Local time 11 am 🇺🇸. I have quickly learned that Chicago is called the windy city with good reason. If you don't put a hat on it, guaranteed you'll look like a scarecrow as soon as you step out...so hats stay on all day errday (plus we don't want the huurr flying off....ladies you know what I mean 😏).
The 1st order of the day after breakfast - recharge devices in the hotel's business lobby. And with devices fully charged, carpe diem 💁🏽♀️!
All of my life I had driven past this place and was always curious about it, and slightly sketched out.
You always pass the 900 billboards that line both sides of 95 and when you see it, it’s usually always empty and a little beaten down lookin’.
I told Kyle on our 3.5 hour drive from Charleston to Fayetteville that we were making a pit stop because I couldn’t drive by it anymore.
And it’s exactly how I expected it to look. Some buildings weren’t even in use and were shut down. Some of the rides were going even though there wasn’t a single person there riding them. The Ferris wheel didn’t even have the carts on it and clearly hasn’t been in use for a few years.
Here I was excited, thinking I was taking a photo outside of an ice cream shop, but no... this is actually a coffee shop with strange ice cream branding on the outside haha.
But now I really kind of want to go back and have a fun shoot there because you dang near get the place to yourself and it’s so colorful yet weird and all of the strange statues of random animals that are oddly placed. South of the border is definitely an off the wall road side attraction but I was feelin’ it.
Shout out to kyle for putting up with my endless requests haha.. I even made him hop on the back of a fake bull statue because why the hell not?
It’s spooky season! Who are you going as for Halloween 🎃?
Tell me in the comments
Sobrang bilis ng October wtf. I need some fresh air ☹️
Chapter 5, Part I: Boston, MA. October 11-12, 2018
Built in 1837, the Public Garden is the oldest botanical garden in the United States. The Garden spans 24 acres, and is built on filled land, most of which had been developed by the 1820s. It became a National Historic Landmark in the late 1980s. .
Being that I stayed right around the corner, the Public Garden was the first stop on my itinerary. As peaceful and serene as I found it to be, I could've easily spent my entire day there. Even though the fall colors were absolutely breath taking, I'd love to see what it looks like in the spring, when everything is in bloom.
I love parks like this set in the middle of a busy city. A place to go when you have no agenda, to take a little stroll, read a book, people watch, or maybe even take a nap. A place to go to forget your worries and troubles for a little while. .

One more ice shot and then I’ll warm things up. I mean I did return to 88F/32C here in Tel Aviv. I’m just kind of obsessed ( I warned you) with the beauty of icebergs and glaciers and this magical place where they float right up to the beach. You can’t tell but my feet are soaked...I got so excited I ran out to a giant iceberg resting on the edge of the shore and a wave snuck up and got me. It was worth it! I had so many layers on I didn’t feel cold anyway. Look at that ice diamond sparkle!
Lately I’ve been having so much trouble putting my phone down and sleeping 🙃There’s just so much to do and see and read and learn 📚Wish there were more hours in the day!
you have to stop thinking things will be hard forever. we feel like our heart 💔 will never heal or we will never get out of the impossible struggle. don’t confuse a season for a lifetime. even your trials have an expiration date. sunshine ☀️ comes to those who feel rain 🌧
what do you do to make hard times easier? I try to find something to look forward to. it’s a reminder that things will be ok again & that life will keep going no matter what we want. We’re hoping to travel next year again. Costa Rica 🇨🇷, Germany 🇩🇪. The thoughts of traveling again gives me hope for brighter days.
After a few days of gloomy weather, the sun finally came back out here in Belgrade, and I took advantage of the break in the rain and explored a different part of the city... and of course, another castle.
But don’t worry, I think I’ve shared enough castle ‘grams for awhile— so here’s a shot of me— awkwardly walking in front of a seriously stunning view of the Danube! Serbia is full of surprises!
If a year was tucked inside of a clock then autumn would be the magic hour 🎁🎉🎈🎁🎉🎈🎁🎈🎉
