Autumn is on full display in Japan. Walking around the area of Arashiyama the vibrant red, yellow and orange leaves caught all eyes and cameras competing for attention only when women in equally colorful and elegant Kimonos walked by.

REAL TALK: I love @reformation 's #dontcallmecute petites' line/campaign. Personally, I feel that 'cute' is a lazy and belittled way to describe any grown women. It's a simple, underlying insulting, word that diminishes and devalues the successes that we've worked our butts off for, who we are in full, and makes ourselves seem meager and small, like we are not to the ranks of others, as if we're still child-like. Cute is a great word for children, puppies, and maybe some clothing. But we are women, above all else, and it infuriates me when I see an empowered woman being called 'cute'. We are miraculous, daring, capable, exquisite, inspirational, bold, unstoppable, and so, so much more than 'cute.' I may be 5'2", but #dontcallmecute .

It blows my mind that females donโ€™t like to use weights during their workouts. Weight training is SO beneficial for everyone!! Here are my top 5 reasons to incorporate weights in my workouts: โœ”๏ธLose 20-40% more fat (boosts metabolism for longer after the workout is done) โœ”๏ธBurn more calories (1 pound of muscle burns almost twice the number of calories as 1 pound of fat) โœ”๏ธIncrease daily energy (increases circulation & aids in blood oxygen concentration) โœ”๏ธDerail diabetes (improves insulin sensitivity) โœ”๏ธBuild stronger bones (engaging muscles puts pressure on bones & stimulates them to grow/strengthens the existing tissue) Do you love weight training as much as I do?! Iโ€™m curious: why or why not? ๐Ÿค”
