🎶And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's going on!? 🎶 📸: @sarahleebeast

I've mentioned a few times that Jeremy and I are not Morning People. We're usually lucky to roll out of bed before 10am when we're traveling, and if we manage to actually go outside by noon, it's a damn miracle. But Hallstatt, Austria was different. Hallstatt turned me into a Morning Person.
I couldn't wait to jump into bed and fall asleep so I could wake up and play in the freshly fallen snow. I kept waking up over and over again throughout the night to stare outside at the falling snow with giddy delight - is it time to wake up yet? Is it time? Finally at 6am, I could no longer contain my excitement. .
With the kind of morning energy I imagine that Morning People are able to summon each day at will, I bounded out of bed, leapt across the floor of our 700-year-old guest house room, and flung myself at the window. There, across the quiet pitched roofs of Hallstatt, was the tiniest like smudge of pink rising behind one gloriously white Alp.
The street below our window, which last night had held throngs of cheerful tourists, was quiet and empty. Snow sat gracefully on top of the town like a cozy blanket. Even the giant yellow star hanging outside of our balcony - a symbol we saw throughout Hallstatt - had a coating of snow. The town was ours to explore, and there was nobody to see it this early but us.
Are you a morning person? Is this just like, your life?!?! Tell me about how to be a morning person (or how you totally aren't, like me) in the comments!
Sneak peak. There's tons of stray animals all over Cuba, in Havana we had a dog follow us for the longest time while we were venturing out to organize a car that fit 7 people (which took a while). Captured this snapshot of this cute little munchkin at the Tobacco farm in the Viñales Valley.
Picture taken by the incredibly talented: @mindycoppo - who eventually got to pet the kitten :)
Have you visited Wales? If so, where have you been 🏴

Many people wonder why I love Munich and Bavaria so much. It’s a very special place to me. A place that opened my eyes as a child and opened the doors to a bigger world and brighter opportunities. I was born in Lithuania, a very small country of 3 million people (there’s more people in London than in the whole country of Lithuania... WOW, I KNOW), where opportunities and dreams were quite small and as a young country who'd just separated from Soviet Union at the time, it did not have much to show or to offer. Munich showed me another perspective of people’s lives. It introduced me to ambition, it showed me what hard work can do and how people went from nada to something very inspiring. Dreaming and creating. That’s what Munich has given me and that’s why I will always be grateful for that.
What city inspired you to dream & create?

A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles ❤️ I am beyond grateful to have found part of my travel family within the first couple of weeks of solo traveling. People that made Cuba, an already breathtaking place by itself, an unforgettable experience.
We took this picture after getting matching friendship bracelets at an artisan market in Viñales.
