I think we should all take a hike 🤙
Flannel ✔️ Backpack ✔️
I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list ☁️
The Wisconsin Dells have some pretty unique rock formations. This is because Wisconsin Dells is located in the part of the Midwest known as the “Driftless Area,” which was untouched by glaciers of the last ice age. The formations are made up of Cambrian sandstone and were carved by melted glacial ice that then ran through the area! #wowza
It amazes me that there is still so much natural beauty on this earth that is yet to be discovered. Feeling grateful for past travellers who have stumbled upon wonders like these. 🌲🍂🌳
Register Ridge fun with @2jenny_jawn8
at the hottest part of the day. Another hiker said were brave for doing it at that time. We got up to the summit by sunset and got the best glimpse of the full moon. The vivid sunset slowly fading into deep pastel colors surrounding the moon was so stunning. Then we descended down Ski Hut trail in the dark, the moon and city lights kept the trail pretty illuminated. 🔦
Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
And then my soul saw you and it went, “Oh, there you are. I’ve been looking for you.” 💙 (See you tomorrow 😌)
Hiked Sunrise Peak this morning and loved it! I needed a little change of scenery from the usual trails, so I asked @hikingunlimited
for recommendations and am SO glad I did. This was a challenging one for me, especially the last 1/4 mile with it’s steep switchbacks, but the views were incredible and I loved seeing the fountain from the top. My pics don’t really do it justice, but if you’re looking for a moderate hike with a good challenge, definitely check this one out. I even saw some fellow hikers from the Gateway Loop and stopped to chat with them for a minute! This took me a little over 2 hours because it was a little bit slippery in some spots so I took it slow, and also stopped a few times to enjoy the views (and catch my breath lol)! This trail was very well maintained and I’m happy to report there was zero trash in sight. #sunrisepeak #azhiking #azhikingtrails #hikeaz #sunrisetrail #keepitwild #wildkeeper #keepnaturewild #tiuaz #girlswhohike #hikingadventures #optoutside
Anytime I see an animal I start snapping photos, I can't help myself. This little bear was seen on my first trip to Shenandoah NP near Dark Hallow Falls. However, not long after my second visit to Shenandoah when I saw (but didn't have time to photograph) a mama bear and her two cubs, I read an article about how they had to be put down. ~
Campgrounds with bears around have lots of regulations on food storage and have you sign paperwork on it and they have fines. This may all seem a bit excessive but when a bear gets a taste for human food it keeps coming back. It becomes aggressive this eventually leads to the bear being put down. ~
This is a sad circumstance and I try to lessen my impact anytime I visit nature. I am a visitor here, I carry in carry out, I store my food in a locked car, bear box, or bear canister. I also store anything with a scent in those places as well, even deodorant and tooth paste can smell like food. I don't approach wildlife or feed it, I try to be mindful of my food and keep it for myself (selfish though that may sound ;P).

A little rain never hurt anyone! 🌧 Took the Chikanishing Trail and scored some beautiful views of Georgian Bay!
That one time I got lost on a mountain, busted a 24 mile hike in one day and had search and rescue called on me 😂 (I made it off the mountain before they ever went searching for the girls and me!)
Thank you Facebook and @diouare1000
for reminding me that it was a year ago yesterday...
Thank goodness for walkie talkies, the fact that I like to carry an abundant amount of snacks, @hiking_yessie
’s jacket, and that I had @bgirlll
lost with me. (We tend to get lost together...always 🤷🏼♀️)
So does anyone want to get lost, I mean hike San G with me this year? 😂
Love/hate relationship with hiking in the rain (mostly hate)
I hope you’re all ready for Vail photo overload 🍁
