It has been a long journey and I am not stopping here. I have made my goal and it took me a year to lose 50lbs but my next goal is a flatter and more toned body. Motivation has come and gone through out the years, but it is back and not leaving. If anyone needs any help I am here, although I am not a professional athlete, I can still help.

WARNING!! Addressing the “what’s your diet” questions below so if you don’t care (I don’t blame you), stop reading now 😜👍🏻😂 *First of all, I don’t track calories, pay attention to macros, follow any specific diet, or “exclude” foods (a few exceptions I’ll list below)* .
So this is *currently* what’s working for me:
-I start my morning with a coffee and/or matcha latte plus a little bit of bacon and eggs (basically finish up what my kids don’t eat 😂).
-Lunch and dinners are pretty much the same/interchangeable, but I try to combine veggies and whatever protein I’ve prepped (I try to have at least two options on hand), so this is usually cauliflower rice with a meat (chicken, fish, beef or pork) + avocado. I often make cassava tortillas and do tacos with those things or make teriyaki-type bowls (add liquid aminos, garlic, ginger, lemon and sesame oil YUM).
-I usually snack during the day on hummus + bell peppers/cucumbers/carrots...sweet potato fries...celery + peanut butter...cashews/almonds and dark chocolate 😋
-I’m ONLY supplementing with collagen right now (protein + skin, hair, bone/joint care) -I eat sweets on any given (every 🙈) day (mini donuts + salted caramels 😛) -I don’t “exclude” things I love, but I personally don’t love pizza, soda or any type of fast food (not even In N Out or Chick-fil-A 😜) so it’s easy for me not to consume those things 🤷🏻♀️ -*There are a lot of terms, methods, diets, opinions, facts, etc. out there...I don’t think there’s any “one” way. Find a balance that works for YOU ✨

Being someone who is big into health & wellness, it’s really easy to stress about not sticking to my meal plan or missing workouts. This week I’ve been reminding myself that it’s okay to enjoy treats, sleep in, spend more time with family and simply enjoy myself. No need to monitor or be “perfect” in every aspect all the time. 💞

Had a fun snatch complex today. I kept the weight light and focused on working on my form and getting used to hook grip (just for you @_t_neill_
). One of the things that I’m really loving about CrossFit is spending that hour focusing solely on what I’m working on. No phone (except for recording videos), no people interrupting sets to try to talk to me, no outside distractions.

Post workout bulldog lifts & pics cause that’s how we roll. Been doing full body weights 3x a week plus 2x cardio and I’m surprised I can even walk.
FIRST RUN.... since I hurt my ankle at my last spartan race. Which was 1 month ago today. 2 miles at 10/mile. Along with a warm up and a cool down. Felt so good. I was not intending on running. My ankle still bothers me. So I thought I’d just hit the gym and walk for 30-60 mins. Got on the treadmill and started walking. But really, all I wanted to do was run. Once 5 mins hit, I couldn’t take it anymore and started running. Ankle feels pretty good and I ended my workout 4 hours ago. I wanted to take it easy today, since its squats tomorrow. More ankle movement. So glad I ran today!! #girlswhorun
Try warming up with these exercises. One minute each and go for 3-4 rounds. NO REST in between, keep that heart rate up. • Jumping Jacks • Jumping Squats • Push ups

I’ve also been training with a 24” box now almost for 3 months and finally feel used to it! So happy that I’m able to grow and better myself. Now I just need a competition with a 20” box and it will feel easy.

My transformation from the start of prep earlier this year in April. To my my third show of my season in October, to my current shape. I definitely made cutting difficult for myself by allowing myself to consume a littttttle too much during my offseason. But I was just so focused on growing some leg muscles and kept telling myself I needed to eat to grow. Which is true, but I didn’t need to eat as much as I did haha. Therefore, I started prep with more body fat than I would have liked, and since 80% of that goes to my booty, thighs and hips, it takes even longerrrrr for it to come off. Well, we live and learn and I am trying my best to maintain in a better place than last year. Especially since none of my critiques included building more muscle like they did last year. But anyway, I don’t currently have any plans for competing thus far, but I do not feel like I am done yet either! We shall see what happens...

Since I’m eating more this week (like lots more!!! 🤪) I know I’ll be moving and training more.
It has nothing to do with working it off, it has nothing to do with guilt. It’s just what works best for my hormones, mental and physical fitness.
When I eat less, I move less.
When I eat more, I move more.
The result is overall, big picture consistency because there is adaptability in my approach.
The intention behind your workouts around the holidays are really important. Check in with yourself and see if your workouts are driven by guilt because that’s not what should be driving them.

They’re committing to their workouts first and allowing space for festivities while keeping to plan as much as they can.
To me, wiggle room between exercise and diet promotes consistency that is sustainable because it is adaptable.

So far my journey to getting to where I was before I went travelling has been good, steady and I havent pushed myself to extremes to try and get fast results. I have listened to my body and mind, resting when it needed to.
Planning on hitting 80% of my 1RM next week (It's not planned for next week but just want to see where I'm at for max atm 🤔)
Veganism still doing wonders for keeping off some fluff 😬 Time to crank it up, it's beach season baby! ☀️🌴
