A concern of mine is to not fully live in the moment or take advantage of opportunities. Wherever you are, you want to be there mentally and really absorb the most you can with any given situation. Growing up kept to myself and shy really made me miss a lot of opportunities to grow in that aspect. But, I did always learn being observant and analytic about others situations. I try to study people and learn what I can do to improve myself by reflecting. One key thing I’ll always live by is to never stop learning.💭

💪🏻WORKOUT WEDNESDAY💪🏻⠀ ⠀ I get a lot of messages with regards to growing arms. Training arms is one of my favourite things to do. ⠀ ⠀ I dedicate one day a week to them and accessory around them on back and chest day. I like to keep it simple.⠀ ⠀ I absolutely love doing isolation exercises for arms. This one specifically for growing the peak of a bicep. The aren’t a huge muscle so you can afford to train them more frequently. However I always leave at least a day in between to help them recover.⠀ ⠀ Remember the gains are made during rest and not at the point of the exercise.⠀ ⠀ When I am working a muscle group I like to think about the muscle and fibres contracting. I visualise them growing. I like seeing the muscle work.⠀ ⠀ I started a new programme this week. Yesterday I started the following for biceps 💪🏻 ⠀ ⠀ ✅ Barbell curls = overall bicep mass⠀ ✅ Spider curls = isolation of each bicep⠀ ✅ Overhead curl on lateral pull down = hitting a different angle⠀ ✅ Isolation curls on the seat row = bicep height⠀ ⠀ The first week I will always test and adjust according to what my body tells me. You need to be able to be agile and adapt. You might not have access to the equipment you need or you simply might not favour that exercise as much. Find the ones that work for you.⠀ ⠀ Mostly important make your time efficient and working for you! Я у кого-то (у одного из блоХеров) прочитала пост с обещанием выложить тренировки "для женщин за 40".. прямо кровь в жилах стынет, потому что ощущение, что укладывают в гроб. Хотя я, конечно, понимаю, что лет через 10-15, природа начнет, так сказать, и меня выводить из популяции 😆 я могу просто поделиться ощущениями изменений (их немного, кстати), но кому нужны советы от девочек +/- 25 лет от роду? От себя могу только добавить, что спать нужно хорошо, кушать хорошо и правильно, и тренироваться тоже без послаблений и прогулов...но это относится ко всем возрастам..Расскажите мне те, кто помоложе и постарше, что значит "тренировки для женщин за 40"? Мне ,вот, как раз "за 40" и есть ощущение, что важное что-то пропускаю, знание великое... ps: когда тебе за 40, надо просто ПАХАТЬ, НЕ ОСТАНАВЛИВАЯСЬ..

A couple days ago I asked for suggestions on health topics to discuss, the topic of the day is Anxiety! *disclaimer: I am not a mental health professional, but am writing this based on research * there are a lot of claims of yoga, running and other forms of physical exercise "curing" people's mental illnesses, including anxiety. However Research has overall been inconclusive in terms of "cures". That being said here is what we do know: - when you excercise your body releases serotonin, dopamine and endorphins. Happy brain chemicals and natural pain killers which make your brain and body feel good. - for a lot of people its Relieves excess energy which helps alleviate anxiety. - it helps boost self confidence and gets people into positive communities. Two years of 🍑 transformation 👸💕 Actually, this transformation is not only physical, it's also a mental one. I've never been happy with my body (the facial expression says it all) & I was always frustrated, because I really hated how my body looked. Especially my 🍑 area. I suffered from my small 🍑, because I saw other girls, who looked flawless & I thought my body was "not feminine enough". That's why I've been insecure for a looooong time, because I had "too much" on my back & arms (swimming for 13 years gives you a wide back unfortunately) & "too little" on the areas I really wanted to have more muscle. Since 2016 I killed myself in every training session, I saw small differences, which kept me going & motivated me even more. Now, two years later, I feel so much more confident in my body & I can finally say that I love how it looks. Even if it's not perfect (for me & for some other people) & I still do have some things I want to work on, I am more than happy about the progress I've made during those two years. This positive mindset is even more important than any physical transformation will ever be! I don't let myself down anymore, just because of some people, who talk shit behind my back. I accept myself the way I am & most importantly I am happy about how I look & who I am.
