After my last post, I got some comments and messages about me looking “manly” either they were deleted or I was a smart ass back to them. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ Being active is healthy and it makes me happy. My hard work and achievements aren’t gonna be looked down on people who think a girl with muscles is gross. Guess what people?!? We all have muscles, because without them, we can’t; breathe, talk, eat, use the washroom, walk or do anything we all do day to day. Yes, I work my muscles out, but just because I am taking care of my body doesn’t make me manly, or any less of a woman! Strong is sexy! Girls with muscles are hot! Так вот, в связи с тем, что мужиков хорошо развита мускулатура, то, естественно, и жир сжигается у них быстрее. 👉Если рассмотреть мужчину и женщину на клеточном уровне, то и здесь есть значительные отличия. Во-первых, жировые клетки женщин крупнее мужских. Во-вторых, клеточные ферменты работают по разному. У женщин больше ферментов жирообразующих, которые способствуют накоплению жира. А у мужчин, наоборот, больше жирорасщепляющих ферментов, которые сжигают жир. 👉Что же касается гормонов, то стоит упомянуть женский гормон прогестерон. Этот гормон ответственен за обеспечение беременности. Благодаря ему во второй фазе менструального цикла прогестерон настраивает весь организм женщины на отложение жировых запасов, как бы готовясь к возможному вынашиванию потомства. Вот почему женщины перед наступлением очередной менструации зачастую испытывают сильный голод. А вот сразу после окончания «этих дней» наступает самый благоприятный период для избавления от лишних килограммов. 🤓Из собственного опыта в поддержку моим Дюймовочкам отмечу, что, как правило, женщины более мотивированы, терпеливы и обладают очень сильной волей. Что в результате приносит свои плоды в виде красивой, подтянутой фигуры. I’ve felt self doubt at various times in my life especially when I’m trying to reach a specific goal. However, I’ve realised that if I allow self doubt to grab me it can easily spread to other parts of my life and I start unconsciously questioning my knowledge and ability in everything I do. - The truth is that self doubt never disappears and it will reappear every time we step out of our comfort zone or whenever we strive to do something great. However It’s important to not see doubt as something to fear because our doubts are only born to protect us and are not the reality of our future 🖤

Do you ever cry at the gym? . I literally cried for like half the time I was there today. I feel horrible about myself, maybe it’s hormones or maybe it’s just post comp getting to me, who knows... I can’t help it, I couldnt breath and it was like there’s a frog in my throat. I look in the mirror and hate what I see. I see no shape, no muscle and I feel like the 4 years I’ve been training has been a huge waste of time. Now I feel pathetic for crying and embarrassed because people definitely saw 🙄😳 why do our minds fuck with us like this? (Mind my French but man I was emotional) so stupid, I’ve come so far from where I was, I’m fitter, healthier and stronger than I used to be and I have so many things to be thankful for. My body image shouldn’t be my main focus, I’m working on that. Do you ever feel like you don’t stand out? Like you blend into the crowd, or you’re always the person that tries their best but is still left in the shadows of others who always shout louder? 🌚 Or maybe you are the person that always shines! You light up the room, you’re described as the “life and soul” of the party, your work and efforts always seem to get recognised 🤩 It’s ok to admit any or all of the above. I have experienced all these emotions and moments at different times in my life. But what a waste of energy, right? 🤔 The highs can be exciting, but contrast those with the epic lows, and it’s mega exhausting. These days I’ve found more of a middle ground and it’s quite an enjoyable place to be. I’m not afraid to grab a moment of glory when I’ve worked hard at something, but I’m equally comfortable with acknowledging when I am simply never going to be anywhere near as good at something as the next guy/gal 😌 This doesn’t mean I stop trying; it just means I focus on my own version of success and being the best I can be. Take barbell squats for example 🏋🏻‍♀️ I have a few mechanical quirks that make this a real struggle for me. I will never be able to lift super heavy on my squat, so instead I stop watching the chick squatting twice her body weight next to me and focus on MY version of success, which is nailing my form as best I can on every rep and progressing the load only when I can maintain that form. I could give you many other examples in work and in life... but you get the just 🖤 Whichever end of the scale you are, try being comfortable just “BEING” in the crowd. W H A T D O E S H E A L T H M E A N O R L O O K L I K E T O Y O U ? 🧘🏻‍♀️🍏🏃🏻‍♀️ • • What does health mean to you? I used to think it meant being able to go for a run everyday and be at a certain weight.. but later realised that restricted eating and getting to that certain weight meant other areas of health fell out of balance. And that’s what I want to talk about here... where are you in your fitness/health journey? Fitness can be part of you physical health, you may be super on point with your macros and losing weight, but feel tired, and deprived, your eating 100g of carbs per day and look ripped AF but all you want to do is take a night off and watch films & have pizza with your girlfriends. • • Or maybe you don’t feel confident in your skin, or your eating habits and it feels out of line. You feel sluggish, & want to lose weight and feel gross. • I’ve realised there’s 4 main components of health. Physical health - we all know this one, excercise & nutrition. How we feed & move our bodies. But this also means that if your body is asking for a night or a week off from the gym, sometimes that rest is what will help you become more balanced again. (Listen to your body) • Mental health - HUGE part. But yet not talked about enough. How is your relationship with yourself, food? Is your diet & fitness routine effecting your mental state? Creating anxiety, binges or restriction around food? • Emotional health, how you feel day to day, & allowing yourself to feel what you want to feel instead of pushing emotions away. Be honest with yourself how you feel, & why you feel that way. • Soul & spiritual health. Are you happy with your life right now and where your at? This could mean your job, the type of life your living. What habits do you have? Is that habit of downing a bottle of wine every night serving you in the same way it did when you was in college? Are you happy with what kind of a person you are and around people. • Fitness & health are things I’m so passionate about. But it’s not just about how we look on the outiside, how hard you train or how much you can squat. It’s about how you feel & sleep, day to day& overall happiness.
