Always try to buy wild-caught over farmed fish. Fish has healthy fats and nutrients that are great for our bodies. Because of the tight, closed environment the fish are raised in, farmed fish have a higher likely hood of consuming toxins, medications and less than ideal fish-feed. Unfortunately we all learn best through failure. It’s the ultimate teacher. 👨🏼‍🏫 ⚡️ I finally started putting more time into my mobility (seen here 😏) once my back went out and can’t remember feeling better. ⚡️ My mom had a heart attack last year and is now more active and healthy than I can ever remember. ⚡️ We have tried programs at both @gravityo2_fitness and @axiomfitnessacademy that DID NOT take off. ⚡️ I have helped organize events thinking people would LINE UP out the door to attend and they didn’t. ⚡️ You get it and I’m sure you can think of your own as well but in the spirit of Wisdom Wednesday, what do we do with it? 1️⃣ Don’t Avoid Failure...embrace it & seek it out. You have heard before that the most successful people fail more often than the rest of us but it’s because they are placing themselves out there in the void. They are putting themselves out there in the space of possibility......where they might succeed or fall on their face. I see people everyday in the gym who don’t challenge themselves because they are scared of what they might not be able to but progress comes at a cost and everything in life has a risk to reward ratio. Question is only how much reward are you looking for? 2️⃣ Look for what you don’t want. Failure has above all taught me what I DONT want. I wouldn’t have known any of this if I hadn’t experienced the pain or lack of joy that it brings. It’s like marking off boxes getting you closer to understand what works AND makes you happy. 3️⃣ Lean on the wisdom of others. Wisdom is generally defined in relation to experience and knowledge of previous situations, but nothing says that HAS to be yours. Nothing will motivate you like your own failure but to be this is the value of reading books, stories, and learning from others. The experience with failure and success alike can become collective....so keep reading and consuming great things in hopes of not always having to rely upon failure to get us to the next stage. . . . #boca #failure #wisdomwednesday #go2crew #personaltrainer #personaltraining #fitspo #bocaraton

Eat slowly and only until you're 80% full. There is some lag time between chewing on your food and the time your brain knows you are getting nutrients. If you're going to a party, cook and eat a healthy meal at home before you go. Eating before a party may seem like a contradiction, but the idea is to go full and satisfied so you don't munch on unhealthy foods all night. Not only will you fill up on good nutrients from foods that you know how they were cooked and prepared, but you'll also be able to avoid all the empty calories that come in cheesy, creamy and sugary foods (no matter how delicious). We're not saying you have to totally avoid all the good stuff at a party, but treat it more as a small snack rather than you're meal.
