Has anyone else found that once they get fat adapted, they’re WAY less hungry in general? I think I’ve eaten one meal every day this week except Wednesday (a local restaurant does BOGO wings, so best believe I’m not missing out on that). I’m eating only when I’m hungry, and that’s been around 1-2pm every day this week. I’m eating a really big meal and then finding that I’m just not hungry for dinner. I am LIVING FOR THIS.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

soo it turns out I have a food sensitivity to LETTUCE and SPINACH…seriously, of all things 🤦🏻‍♀️ any other weird/uncommon food intolerances out there?? . I recently invested in a MRT test which tests for 150 common food & food chemicals. I was shocked that some of my best buddies showed up -lettuce, spinach, turmeric and blueberries!😢💔 . with food sensitivities a good action plan would be 1️⃣ temporarily remove the foods that your body is actually marking as “foreign invaders” from your diet for a few months 2️⃣ focus on healing your gut (for me that’s with HCL, collagen, glutamine and probiotics) 3️⃣ slowly and gradually reintroduce and repeat steps 1 & 2 if necessary . thankfully kale & arugula is not under the lettuce family (fun fact) so I’ve been loving meals like this to still get in my beloved greens 🙏 kale tip - it makes a world of a difference on your digestion when its massage with lemon and sautéed . dinner deets 👉 organic free range eggs, organic chicken sausage & crispy sautéed kale in my cast iron. YUM❤️
I've been following a restricted diet for more than six years now. Most of the time I feel better as a result, and it is one of the main holistic things I do to keep the MS in check. . Lately, though, I haven't been feeling awesome. It's more than lately, actually, it's been about a year or so that I have been feeling some of my early symptoms like fatigue and depression return, and new symptoms emerge like chronic muscle aches and pains and unexplained weight gain. . So it's time to shake things up. I'm not quite sure what that looks like just yet, but to start it looks like adding more fruits and vegetables into my diet (yes, more than what I already eat) and reducing the amount of animal protein I eat. . If there's one thing I have learned on this health journey it's that the body knows what it needs, and if something isn't working then it's time to try something different. I was surprised during my certification program that the #1 thing you can do to improve your health is to eliminate all vegetable oils. I thought it would be sugar. Sugar is #2 though. As I continue to read Deep Nutrition by @drcateshanahan I want to beg you to please, get these oils out of your food. Avoid food products that have vegetable oils in them. Stop cooking with them. These oils come full of free radicals that damage your arteries and other tissue and then you cook with them and they break down even more. Mackerel pate - my fave lunch at the moment and so easy to make. One mackerel fillet, a spoonful of creme fraiche, squeeze of lemon and fresh pepper yum! Not the most exciting photo but it tasted fab with some crunchy bread and loads of salad. I am so pleased it is Friday! It’s been a full-on week, getting used to new drop-off and pick-up times, organising work, children, home life, exercise and all the hundreds of other things we do. I have just finished a 25 minute full-body workout. I couldn’t manage anymore than that as I am really tired, but at least I did it. It’s important to do something everyday, it doesn’t have to be for hours and hours. I did a mixture of endurance exercises with light weights and strength training with heavier weights and it has definitely given me a push to get through the afternoon. If you’ve not moved from your desk today, then head out into the sunshine and wake yourself up. I’ve been trying REALLY hard not to weigh myself - I have a super unhealthy relationship with the scale. After last night, I decided to hop on. I’m SO excited to be back in the 160s! I started off at 187.8 lbs - the heaviest I’ve ever been. This weight loss has been SO slow for me. I’m used to doing drastic diets or taking pills to lose weight quickly; however, this is the first time that the weight loss actually feels sustainable. I feel HEALTHY. I have more energy, I’m sleeping better, my skin is clearer, my mind is more focused. I absolutely love the keto way of life and I’m so thankful for it. I still have a long way to go, but I KNOW I can do it.

Young Thai coconut meat (use the coconut water for your morning smoothie!) 2 cups frozen organic mango (you can't get decent tasting mangoes here in Northern Ontario) 4 Dates 2 TBSP hemp hearts Soak the dates first for about an hour unless you have a high speed blender (like the vitamix) Blend it all up and pour into baby mason jars.
