Summer has officially begun. Normally, I would fill my weeks with happy hour/beer o’clock, picnics, concerts, baseball games, city nighttime frolic, beaches...all which are good and fun.
But lately I’ve opted for more remote places, surrounded by trees and bodies of water, where cell signal is spotty or nonexistent, the sights and sounds of people and cars are rarely seen or heard - instead, replaced by wildlife and bird chatter...I want to be where I can really see the stars at night while sitting cozy next to a campfire, a place where the only footwear I need are my hiking boots 🌞🏕
I took this photograph while I spent time in the garden of Enoshima, a pleasantly touristy island just off coast. I came upon this green spider which has caught my attention while it jumped on. From other threads, I suspect this may be Araniella cucurbitina, sometimes called the "cucumber green spider".
