It's off season my dudes! 🙌🏻 Feels like a long time since I've been able to say that and I won't lie, it feels good!! A couple things about this off season👇
1) I won't be fluffing up much past 202lbs which is about 8lbs above my photoshoot weight from last week! I’m in the fitness industry, I like being lean, I like growing, but getting 20-30lbs above stage weight isn’t ideal for me.
2) I'm also doing a slow reverse out, which I've never really done successfully in the past! As slow as the weight came off, that’s how fast it’ll go back on! None of that 20lbs of fat in two weeks crap. I'm very stoked to see what I can do and excited to see how my body, metabolism and most importantly my mind improves.
Also, I'm working on a new version of what used to the My Prep Journal section on the member site as well. I'll be using the page to document my reverse and give you guys an idea of what a proper reverse consists of!
Remember, taking time off of being in a deficit is not only healthy.. but necessary! Especially if you want to continue doing what you love in this fitness world! I track my intake year round, but I don't want to keep myself in a caloric deficit the whole time. Gotta give your body and your mind a fcking break!

Oh what a happy ending!
I concluded my Camino adventure with an amazing, mindful and gratitude meditation on the stunning coast of Muxìa (West Spain), sitting by the ocean, while watching the sun go down and listening to the energy-filled waves, crashing on the rocks.
By pure synchronicity, I had my #mindfultalent bag with me that evening, and brought also two of three heart-shaped stones that I found in the early days of the journey. Each represented a burden I wanted to get rid of, and I carried them along the Camino. One I left by the #CruzdeHierro , the highest point of the Camino. The other two I threw in the ocean waters on that last night, after my meditation and prayers.
✈️Please don't put limits on your dreams!!! You want to collect moments? GO! Start! Start with where you are and don't stop till they are the moments you really are after❤️
🙋🏼I ❤️the Hawaiian Islands 🌴The People, The Smell, The culture, the Aloha Spirit...love all of it!!! Grateful to collect moments there this week with my first born and some new team members.

Probably something you've heard by now or even said yourself! But are genetics to blame? Or is it the execution of your calf exercises??
Note 👉 I am not talking insertion points. If you have poor/high insertion points, it is what it is. But that doesn’t mean you can’t build the muscle within the insertion points you have, it just means you can lengthen the insertion point beyond what you were born with. Got high insertion points? Doesn’t mean you can’t beef up what you got!
Sometimes the simplest tweaks can make the biggest difference in how your muscle develops! Below are my top 3 tips that I recommend to grow your "stubborn calves"🙏🙌
1) Stop training this 'lagging' muscle at the end of your workout!! Most people tack on calf training at the end of a workout. You CANNOT expect to grow if you're fatigued and half-assing the exercises.. saying "I do em 3 times a week"! No, you do 3 really weak workouts. Hit em first, before you even start your main workout, while you're fresh!
2) Lighten up! Stop putting 5 plates on seated calf raise when you should probably be using 1 plate! Just like any other exercise for any other muscle group: too much weight equals poor form, poor range of motion, poor results! Lighten it up, get a good full range of motion, and FULLY contract the muscle!
3) Do more! Conventional 3 sets of 10 ain't gonna cut it. You want to shock the muscle. I like my sets to be around 15-20 reps, sometimes higher! And if I ever dip into lower reps, it's because I'm utilizing drop sets!
Focus on form, get full contractions, vary up foot placement/exercises! Put in the work. They will grow! Don't ride on the "my genetics suck" band wagon!
