Happy Friyay! What farmers markets will you be hitting up this weekend? Here is my haul from a visit to @farmlowell
Lowell Farmers Market. Can we talk about how cool this two tone pepper is for a minute? Also pictured are a couple ears of corn, big zucchini, greens beans and a few other finds not normally on my list. First, I picked up a jar of blueberry limoncello jam and omg 😍 it is delish! It tastes so fresh and I always say as a dietitian if you are going to have something sweet at least make it something fresh or homemade/ locally made instead of some overly processed store bought boxed dessert. Next to it is a soap bar from the Red Antler Apothecary that also serves as a bar shampoo! I am very eager to try that on my quest for a more #sustainable
lifestyle. Finally, because sometimes you just need a glass of wine at the end of a long week- I picked up this bottle of blush summer wine. I really love chatting with the local farmers/craftsmen and whenever I pick up a wine or cider I always ask where it gets processed. In this case he said right in his basement- hence the name Aaronap Cellars! 😂 so clever! If you are someone who tends to have a reaction to sulfites in wine, the more organic/local and small batch you can go the better because they use less added sulfites for processing. Cheers to the weekend my friends 🥂 .
