If you never step foot outside your work-zone, you risk more than if you strive for a nonstop #grind
. Stepping outside your work zone gives you more than just a mental break, it breeds new perspectives. From vantage points away from your desk, you gain a better understanding of not only what work should be done with priority, but also new ideas in HOW to do it. The best part? Never losing the intensity of your hustle when you are in your work zone.
Before I met Jeff, I spent at least 3 hours on email / at my desk on Saturdays and Sundays. But after almost two years of doing so, my time spent there was less effective and more like a chore than a treat.
When I unplug, I connect with others more deeply and as a writer, the engagement makes me better able to speak to more people.
When I unplug, I listen more thoroughly and as a coach I can think ahead and offer even more variations, progressions and regressions to help more clients.
When I unplug, I feel more in my own body, and as a girlfriend, friend, daughter and athlete I can listen to my body and grasp what it's telling me it needs, to be the best me.
And come Monday morning? I'm ready to #fly
to the absolute best of my ability.
