I used to think that in order to get any type of results in anything, I had to take extreme measures. I had to be very restrictive and follow a plan to the T.
This can be partly because I am a very extreme person (aka: all or nothing), which has some benefits if used for the right reasons. 😅
For fitness/health, I learned that having a healthy MINDSET is KEY.
I hate to break it to you, but detoxes, skinny waist trainers, skinny teas, and fad diets don’t work! If someone is trying to sell you a detox or any juicing plan, STAY AWAY!
This is WHY: your own body is able to clear out waste materials such as toxins and chemicals on its own. Our bodies DOES NOT need a “detox!” Our bodies already does a good job naturally through our lungs, liver, and kidneys. There is actually no scientific evidence that detox diets actually work. If someone loses body fat, it’s because they were in a caloric deficit.
This is considering a person doesn’t have any underlying medical conditions.
The MAIN thing is to be CONSISTENT and adapt healthy HABITS! If you go on a diet and don’t see yourself doing it forever, then you will most likely revert to your old habits. I know this because it has happened to me and I am sharing this with you so you can not go through the same route that I did. .
Focus on longevity, improvement, and developing a good relationship with yourself. If you put in the work and you are consistent, you will achieve it!
Create small habits and stick with them. Once it becomes a routine, then develop better habits. 😀
