6 months postpartum unfiltered.
I still have tons of stretch marks that haven’t faded.
I still have loose skin on my stomach and my hips still haven’t gone back to pre-baby size. Idk if they ever will either. 🤷🏼♀️ I sill pee myself a little when I’m running or jumping during my workouts sometimes.
I literally daydream about getting a full night of sleep.
I still live in leggings and yoga pants.
I get stressed, overwhelmed, and cry weekly. Because being a mama is hard.
My bloat this morning is from ordering a comfort pizza at 10pm last night. Not because I was hungry, but because I was overwhelmed from the week and ate my feelings. Yep! Not perfect.
I cried when I woke up this morning because I didn’t know if I could do another day.
At any given time I have baby poop or spit up somewhere on my body.
I haven’t washed my hair or shaved my legs for 4 days.
I feel like my whole life revolves around my boobs.
My house is almost ALWAYS a mess and it makes me feel like a failure most days.
My fiancé eats frozen dinners 80% of the time because I don’t have the time or energy to cook.
I am sharing this because I don’t want anyone to compare themselves to me, Just because I lost all my “baby weight” and fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes so quickly. Being a momma is HARD. If you’re two years postpartum and STILL don’t fit into your pre-pregnancy clothes, that’s OKAY! Society gives us this crazy idea that we have to look a certain way by a certain time and it’s so wrong.
Some days it’s survival and you’re going to eat your feelings, and cry, and wonder if you can handle another day. But you will. I want you to know that You’re doing great. You are exactly what your child needs. God doesn’t make mistakes and he knew what he was doing when he made you their mama.
Being a mom has been the craziest, hardest, best, and most rewarding journey ever. If the stretch marks never fade... It will still be worth it. ♥️

I did the Holiday half yesterday- it was so hard. 35 degrees, windy, and I started out too fast- so miles 8-12 were awful. I stopped at least 4 times and didn’t think I could start again each time. It was pretty miserable. When I finished, I got uncontrollably cold. Not a good look haha.
All that being said, I was less than a second away from my PR- so I’m kicking myself that I kept stopping! Oh well, ya live ya learn.
Many runners are hesitant to perform power drills. However, in order to run fast we need power! This is a great exercise to work on developing linear power.
If a high box is too challenging, start by jumping over a towel, then progress to a hurdle, small step, box, etc..
Start easy and progress your way up! Focus on pushing the ground away. Aim for 5 repetitions per side and be safe.

Half Marathon ke 5
Setelah dihadapkan dengan dua Half Marathon sebelumnya, yakni cultural race dengan tanjakan sadisnya di Borobudur Marathon dan race berkedok "Recovery Run" di Danamon Run, kali ini saya kembali berlari sejauh 21,1 KM. Ini adalah Half Marathon kali ketiga dalam tiga minggu ini.
Kita memulai race ini dengan perasaan sedih, gusar, hampa. Berusaha berlari sekhidmat dan senormal mungkin, memulai dengan mungkin kondisi yang tidak fit, mood berantakan, dan hampir bisa dipastikan kurang tidur. Ya, salah satu sahabat terbaik kita, @buddysiregar
telah dipanggil terlebih dahulu oleh Yang Maha Kuasa sehari sebelumnya.
Uncle Buddy, begitu kami menyapanya. Seorang pria dengan determinasi yang tidak perlu dipertanyakan lagi. Disaat banyak orang memilih untuk diam dan sibuk mengeluh sana sini, pria ini justru merelakan kenyamanannya. Rela berlari sepanjang ratusan kilometer sembari mengumpulkan dana demi mewujudkan pendidikan yang lebih baik, menjaga kobaran asa itu tetap menyala, membuat senyum itu tetap terjaga.
The show must go on. Marilah kita selesaikan apa yang sudah dimulai. Sepanjang race kita terus tetap memberikan semangat ke rekan lain sembari memanjatkan doa.
Alhamdulillah, Personal Best didapat kali ini. Berlari patah-patah di 200 meter menuju garis finish dengan pita hitam tertambat di lengan. Tersenyum sembari berseru, menggebu dalam haru.

Nice 20km run down by the river after two weeks off. I’ve missed it, but sometimes when your head isn’t in it your body can’t follow. Just under 7 weeks until Marrakesh marathon though so will try and focus!
The back of the finishers' medals has the figure of Stelios Kyriakides, who on this day in 1987, he passed away at the age of 77.
Kyriakides was born in Paphos in 1910 and won the #BostonMarathon
in 1946. He managed to return back to war-ravaged Greece with the “Kyriakides Aid Package” (25,000 tons of supplies and $250,000 in cash). The #LogicomCyprusMarathon
is dedicated to this Marathon Legend and altruist.

I woke up with a song of worship on my lips and gratitude on my heart and I knew It was going to be a good morning. I spent some time holding each of my kids a little longer instead of rushing everyone to get ready. I had no set plan for today's workout but I was feeling good so I started with a 20 min 400m progression run to warm up and jumped into a mile time trial. My first sub 7 mile in 2 years. It wasn't easy but I felt strong and in control. I got in a full body workout: 3x 20 banded glute bridges, 3x12 30lb dumbell rows, 3x20 banded bodyweight box squats, 3x12 barbell chest press, 3x20 romanian banded deadlifts 60lb,1x each leg 30 banded abductors. I took it to the trail and ran an easy 10 minutes out, knocked out a 5min core workout. (1 min plank, 1 min reverse crunches, 1 min boat side to side, 1 min 30 sec each side plank, 1 min push ups.) I finished up my last mile and called it a day. In other news this is my last week of school work for my degree 😭 I have a 30 page powerpoint slide, 30 page paper, comprehensive exam and quiz to knock out by Saturday 😱 Hope you are having a blessed Monday.

Raw - Urban winter runs are difficult to capture with great pictures. There is hardly sun and if there is, the golden hour collides with working hours..
It’s a creative challenge that you hopefully endure with me for the next weeks! I think pictures like these show how raw it can be during this period.. maybe it’s beautiful in its own way?
