York with a nice little 3RM of 130kg to finish this strength block. He probably had a bit more in the tank, but there’s no point in rep testing if your form goes to complete shit 😊. Considering we don’t do a lot of lifting in the lower rep ranges, it’s pleasing to see him take on a different type of challenge!

Almost 3 years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to get it off the floor given that I was on the rebound from a double knee operation...taken ages and numerous other injuries but here I am - numerous sets and reps at 150kg and climbing...pb since the ops has been 180kg and even though I’ve done the weight before, I WILL hit 200kg by the end of the year

These are a couple of my favorite exercises for legs. I prefer dumbbell stiff legged dead’s to using a bar. It allows me to keep the weight in a place where it really activates my hammies and glutes! I also don’t have to use as much weight! I also prefer to do them a little faster and I don’t stand all the way up. This keeps the tension on the muscle at all times!
Split squats are another one I love/hate! Hahaha! Studies have shown that split squats actually activate more muscle fibers in the quads than traditional squats! So if you’re in a plateau, maybe give these a try and see if you can blow through it!!
