Two test pots. The one on the left (first pic) is water colour green over burgundy red and the other is the reverse. I was expecting to see some red tinges but the result is nevertheless pleasing with rather beautiful blue pooling from the WC green. The last pic shows a satin white nutmeg mix coming through from underneath. There's quite a glaze flow which I need to compensate for next time. #hobbypotter #handmadeceramics #ceramicglazes #wheelthrown #pottery #ceramics
So many ceramic pieces waiting to be made into things! I hand cut each one out of clay, engrave, fire, glaze—fire again—and then finally set in brass as necklaces, rings and the like. It’s a time consuming process to say the least, but well worth it when a piece is finished and able to be worn 😊
Wouldn’t be a ship if it didn’t have something mean on it!
I decided to bring back the fern pattern after seeing some of my older work in a new light. Funny how somethings return to the creative fire. Should I keep going?
That is the question.

Hello! 👋🏼 I am back from The Philippines! It was so incredible. Island hopping, mangos, local food, waterfalls, caves, waterfalls inside of caves, crazy cities, friendly villages, cheap rum and so so many laughs. I am so forever grateful because it’s you amazing people who support my art here that makes these vibration raising moments possible 🙏🏼 I can’t ever express what it means to have lived so long thinking I couldn’t do these things and now I can. Thank you thank you thank you 💗
OUR STONE CRACKLE WATER PITCHERS 🔛 www.matchstoneware.com
I’ll have 6 moon mugs in the next update if all turns out as planned (and lots of carved designs). 2-3 weeks tba 🖤
I’ve been starting my mornings more slowly, rising a little earlier, making time to drink tea (or reishi, for mushie fans) and to read, even for 15-20 minutes. And for someone who usually squeezes their morning routine into half an hour, this is a nice shift. 🍃
A bunch of planters headed to @gather.store
today. 🙌🏽. What a wet and cold few days it has been! Good for the plants but not good for potters as things aren’t drying 🙄 Relying on the heat of my kilns to give them a warm boost once in a while. I have 1 of these stumpy planter left with me, dm me if interested, thank you 🤗
Hello friends! Apologies for the radio silence lately. I took a bit of a break from the studio and social media, but I am back...and with some very exciting news! 🤗
My dear friend @megwaltersworld
and I are coming together for an exhibition up in Byron at the end of next month. Both immigrants to this beautiful country, we will be sharing our own connections to the land from oil on canvas to glaze on clay. If you or anyone you know is going to be up in the area, join us for what is sure to be one special evening!

I’ve been staring at this big brown box for a week, so I think it’s pretty impressive 🤣 I resisted until Birthday Eve. I assume that this amazing sea urchin bowl was meant for my beach house, but would you look at how well it goes with my granite here?! It’s gorgeous! I absolutely love it!!❤️Thank you so much @kdthoms
New glaze and new pots for Tracy’s big birthday!
